I have two of the 1-8's one on a MK12 ish build and the other one is on my 30-06 bolt action hunting rifle. Slowly but surely I will be putting the Arken 1-8 on my other hunting rifles.

I have one it worked for about a minute and a half and the electronics stopped i didn't even get to mount it that's because they sent the scope and no mount and yes i did order and pay for a mount still waiting for a working scope and mount. O i forgot i had order 3 scopes got 2 but the only mount they sent is for the scope they did not send ya I'm confused to. I'm hoping it will all work out.

@LovesM855A1 I've had 3 rifles from savage that have had issues. Barreled actions are usually great, triggers and safeties are usually the issue for me.

@@AlaskanBallistics the 1x is too far away from true 1x. So anytime I am moving with both eyes open I get double vision. When in the field, shouldering after a ton of practice still results in an all black field of view. You need to be so directly behind the lpvo is not even funny. There are a ton of complaints about the eye box from other users and I can verify their complaints. I rectify this issue by shouldering with only my dominant eye open. Doing this, I can acquire sight picture almost immediately. Then I open my second eye. It's hard to say how much time I lose with this procedure, but I know when I shoulder my PA PL 1-8, I don't run into this issue or the double vision issue. The 8x loses a significant amount of resolution/contrast. I never run it past 6 or 7x. I do think this lpvo has some strong positives. At 1x there is very very little walleye effect. I also can verify that the drops of the KL box reticle run true. I have taken this optic out to 600yd and it performed well. At the end of the day, this performs better than the sig LPVOs that I have experience with but not better than the PA PL or G that I also have experience with.

With Chuck here we always get an honest review. A lot of people bag on Vortex, but I have to say that my Strike Eagle 1-8 SFP LPVO has been great. Mounted on an AR 16” it’s held zero through roughly a couple thousand rounds, and the battery power is pretty solid. I paid a sale price of $299 for the optic AND a Vortex mount, so the price was right.
