A SUPER STORY! Original owner car in it's original owner's hands still... WOW! LOVE that 4 speed... Great video Chuck! Hope fully you will do that work for him, and I will get to see more of it! I am presently working on a 65 Coronet 500 with just 78,000 miles. My friend purchased it in the late '80's. He has only added about 5,000 of those miles... Yet it has been plated, insured, and driven EVERYONE of these years. Do the math! It still has the original black vinyl top! And 100% of the original black bucket seat interior! Carpets, headliner, and upholstery, ALL original 1965! With ONLY the drivers bucket seat showing a few splits. It is an amazing car... I will email you some pictures. Later, Frank Parks at Mopar Restos.

Hey Frank, yeah I'd love to see some pictures. It's still amazes me when these cars surface in such good shape. Thanks HofM1937@gmail.com

Stepping up the content, Chuck. Thanks! Well, it's readily apparent what a sweetheart Arlyn's car is. Gorgeous, man - even has a little bit of chop to her as well. 🙂 Wife and I just got back from town (cruise in night) with Fred, of course displaying your HOM decal on the back window. If they ask, they get informed. 🙂 - Ed on the Ridge

Thanks Ed, glad you got Fred out for a rip. I think that I'm going to take the Cuda out today. Gotta enjoy all of the hard work once in a while.

Funny you mentioned standing on the seat as a kid. Growing up, my Grandpa had Oldsmobiles, Delta 88's and a couple '98 Regencys. I remember using the split arm rest in the front seat as a booster seat so I could see over the dash. The thought of there being no seat back never crossed anyone's mind......didn't even need a seat belt, thanks to Gramp's right arm.....😂. Ah the good ol' days.

Yeah, and let's not forget sleeping on the floor either. Car seats weren't in anyone's vocabulary back then.

Beautiful car and I like the little extra blackout on the grill. The 65 Plymouth and Dodges did like showing their brace faces loud and proud lol.

I agree with you on the black out. It has a floating grill look to it now. I blacked out the grill on my '67.

Wonderful to have a good reference. I can't wait to see how you are going to speckel your trunk.

Me either, I had a '65 Satellite that had a lot of the original spatter paint in it. Nobody makes anything that's very close since ours has some blue, black and gray spatter in it. I'll probably hit it with a gray and then some type of GM spatter paint.

Sometimes the overheating problems on old cars is corrosion/rust build-up inside the engine block. The water passages get restricted and or plugged-up.
@Chuck_House_of_Mopar5 ай бұрын
Yeah, that very well could be the case. Arlyn did have the motor rebuilt, I would think that block was hot tanked but who knows.

Just found a 65 sedan 440. Thinking of getting it. Low miles.
