Welcome to this yoga practice for Parsva Bakasana Side Crow pose. This is the second class in the arm balance series, a series that is designed to help you build upper body strength, work towards challenging yoga poses and level up your practice.
In this class I take you through a flow to prepare your body and help ready you for side crow and then I break down how to enter the pose so that if you are a beginner this challenging pose becomes more attainable.

I started with crow pose yesterday, really enjoyed this side crow class and I am very excited to try the poses in the rest of this series which I haven’t managed yet. Hopefully with some guidance and some patience I’ll crack them. Thanks for all your hard work, really loving this channel 🙏🏽✨

Came to your channel and was very impressed that I was able to follow and do the pose. I hope you can share more of these sequences for a variety of peak poses, especially for those who are limited by their finances as of the moment and are relying on tutorials to advance their practice as well. Good morning Charlie!! :) this was so fun! I can’t seem to just rest on one elbow. My other hip always lands on my other elbow no matter how hard I try not to. Does this mean I just need more strength?? I enjoy so much how you keep it all fun :) and light :) and your strength is inspiring! :):) I will keep trying!!

Make sure you do chaturanga arms/deep tricep push up shape so you can have a good shelf to stack your knees on. It will engage upper body strength utilising your back muscles and contract the core to keep them in place. It’s super tough. Loved the flow too. A nice challenge. Namaste 🙏

Hey honestly I say in the beginning don't worry about it being perfect. It takes time to get used to the pose and get confident there before you can start playing around with how to tweak your alignment. For a long time I practiced the way you describe and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. What I like to remind people is there's no one size fits all for each pose. Our bodies are all very different and the way your body does one pose will be different to the way I experience it in mind. I hope this helps xx
