Armada Cyclonus (Random Review)

Keep in mind, the Unicron trilogy is set in the future. (Armada in 2010, Energon 2020 and Cybertron 2030) That explains a lot of the alternate modes. Not cybertronian, just futuristic ;)

If you fold chest all the way to 90° the gold sliding piece locks into place

You sure that you have the waist in the right pose? Since he seems to have waist rotation if the waist is posed down (which gives a little bit more of the ability to pose but not much.)

you mistransformed him. the tail of the helicopter should click into place if everything is lined up right, does take a slight bit of force, but it will prevent that torso wobble you kept complaining about.

I actually tried linking Refute from Hoist onto the bottom of the cockpit. The plastic got so stressed from two attempts I have resolved to never attempt it ever again.

Yeah, the gimmicks hinder the robot mode a _bit_ , but I still like him. He's really fun and has a lot of cool action features. :D

You transformed him wrong with his lower body. If you did it properly he wouldnt be laying back like that. The connection for the hip is post to be straight not bent under the cockpit @-@

Also, when you bring the chest down, I believe you can lock it at a 90 degree angle to the tail. That should help with stability if you are having troubles.

I know this video is far too old for this comment to really be of any importance - just figured it was worth mentioning since none of the other comments did - but that cool thruster piece on the back of the tail is supposed to off to be a kinda sorta awkward gun for the right arm! And ONLY the right arm... I s'pose the main rotor popping off is probably also something worth mentioning, but I don't doubt it's probably old news by now too.

He actually does have a waist joint. That weird rocking thing is actually suppose to be a waist joint but you have his crotch positioned the wrong way. This does actually make him a little bit taller once you flip that piece down though it also sets the legs back a little bit. The waist joint is some what hindered by the tail section but it is there. That's also why that section doesn't clip in that way because it's not meant to sit that way in the first place. There's even molding on that part that isn't visible when you have his crotch pressed up against his chest. The molding is only there for robot mode. There are a few pictures showing this mistransformation but if you look at the animation model in the show, even that has him with the crotch plate folded down. Once you do that, it actually locks into place gets rid of all that weird movement, and gives him a proper waist.

+RialVestro Most stock photos have it the way I put it, yes, but so does the original color chart for the toy, so I have to think that's how it was designed to be. With the pelvis folded down, he gains waist articulation, a little, but it looks terrible to me, like it couldn't have been intended that way. It's weird, I see just as much evidence both ways on this one.

+TJOmega You seemed to be having a lot of problems with the whole upper body falling backwards or leaning to one side, and transforming it the other way would solve those stability issues. You can transform it however you want, but I still cringe a little with how much you're struggling to keep it in position, especially since I've never had those issues and it makes the toy look a lot more unstable than it has to be. Still, I'd imagine a lot of other reviewers would have just written the toy off for that alone. You're always really good at being fair to toys that others would just go on angry rants about, and that's why I keep watching.

+NightDay1906 That was Buzzsaw, and they took Crumplezone and made him Heavy Barrel, a toy only available in the Micron Booster. They also had the Mini-Con partners for Blurr, Runamuck, and Longrack in that line. Nothing from Deluxe Optimus and Cybertron Demolishor.

He's one of the few armada toys where the gimmicks don't hinder him. also it may just be an issue with your cyclonus, mine's waist was never an issue.

+DrunkenRoadkill That's actually highly debatable, as stock photos and even the original color chart for the toy shows the pelvis the way I have it, while the instructions have it the way you're thinking. It's hard to tell which was the intended way to have the toy transformed, but I really don't like how it looks the other way so I do it like the video shows.
