Update: These appear to be the same product as the AGM-51, just a different name/company. People who are into nightvision do not like this product because the optical glass is of lesser quality that creates lens flares and a lower quality image compared to Carson optics used in most other nightvision devices. The optics in these also have a smaller eye box, that means you need to be closer to the lens to see the whole image in focus. In practical terms this makes them harder to use than better designed devices and robs you of some of the benefit of the extended 51 degree FOV. The 51 degree lenses also have tendency to give a fish-eye effect that increases eye strain on makes the increased FOV less useful. I have one of these housings coming in the mail, used, at a very steep discounted price and I am still unsure if I will keep it because of the limitations. I'll update this post if I find anything to I said to be wrong from personal use.

Update? I'm considering these, but am uneasy based on finding no reviews from actual buyers... And the proprietary glass, and lack of provided specs on individual tubes.

@@Turbo.M777 Do not buy these new unless they are at a very steep discount to everything else. I would also avoid mystery tubes. I do not regret buying my cheap used housing, but I supplied my own tubes. If you wear glasses or want to wear safety glasses do not get this housing at all. The eye relief is too short to accommodate them. Their are focus adjustments that can adjust for minor eye focus issues, but this will not replace your own corrective lenses. I do like the 51 degree view. The fish-eye effect is real, but did not cause too much eye strain for me. The manual gain nob is a great feature that is usually impossible to find at this price point in a binocular housing. I paid $1100 USD for my housing with lenses, no tubes. If I had to do it over again I might have haggled lower. I would not pay more for this housing. My ultimate goal is to upgrade the housing and lenses later to the MH-1 housing from Low Light Industries (a well respected full service company) and buy the new Viper Boomslang 51 degree FOV lenses that fit with the Carson optic military standard. That housing and lens combo will cost over 4 thousand USD.

@@Sensorium19 Thanks for your feedback. Do you think the BNVD-40s would alleviate those isses? Same housing, but without the consequences of stretching the FOV to 51 degrees?

I can get a pair of 2376 minimum fom 40 or 51 Pinnacles for the same price (6k). I'm really considering them, but the reddit crowd has sufficiently got me worried about how bad they are. Would you drop your own money on these or go with something a bit more mainstream? Love the content and definitely subbed.

I personally run katanas with photonis 4g white phos tubes. Can't beat them for the price

Weight. Housing not sold separately from tubes. I think the optical class is proprietary to achieve the field of view increase, which means you can't replace it easily except through the original company. Most other nods just use the same glass as the PVS-14, so easy to replace.
