I should clarify on the Fusion Tag thing. On the TCG version of Fusion Tag, it says "if used for a *Fusion Summon* this turn." so Contact Fusions such as VWXYZ and so on cannot be summoned using it because it specifically says Fusion Summon. However on the OCG version, it doesn't specify it has to be Fusion Summoned as it says "if used as *Fusion Material* this turn.". One of these needs to errata to match the other because these rule differences are some bullshit!

MetaKaios No you cannot. The summon requirements of ADCC clearly state that BOTH of the Fusion Materials MUST have already been Special Summoned. VWXYZ clearly requires both VW and XYZ, and it MUST be properly Summoned first. Meaning you MUST make the first two yourself. This requires 5 different Main Deck monsters including 2 vanillas. As for Armed Dragon LV7, that requires LV5, and you cannot use Level Modulation on LV7 unless you properly summon it first, even though it says "ignoring Summon conditions." Why? Because Level Modulation only bypasses the card's printed conditions and not the rules for Nomi and semi-Nomi monsters. Said monsters must be properly summoned according to their printed conditions before you can use ANYTHING to revive them.

Yes, but you can still 'properly' summon VWXYZ using materials that have been Fusion Tagged into XYZ & VW, as it changes the material's name. For material purposes, a monster with the correct name is considered to be that correct monster. This is evidenced by the fact that you can fuse King of the Swamp with E-HERO Prisma (to make just about anything), because even though Fusion Substitute monsters (like KotS) can't be used with each other, Prisma changes its name and 'becomes' the correct material.

VWXYZ be like: Hell no! TBH, with Therions you can send VW and XYZ to the GY from the Extra Deck, equip them to Regulus then banish them while equipped to Regulus to summon VWXYZ. Fortunately VWXYZ doesn't require its materials to be summoned properly as they only need to be on the field. Still, you can't do this in a single turn anyways because Regulus effect to special summom itself is only a once per turn.

Top all this off with the fact that the new Link format makes it so you can only Fusion Summon once (without the use of Link monsters). You’ll have to Link Summon a monster that can open up 2 Main Monster Zones for Extra Deck summons in order to Fusion Summon twice. That’s at least 3 more cards that need to be played in order to Link Summon and they’re most likely going to be Cyberse-Type monsters instead of Machine or Dragon-Type monsters (which this new fusion card runs with). Why was this card made again!?

sd sd All except vw. They might be tricky to summon because unlike ABC, the fusion materials HAVE to be on the field and not both field and grave. XYZ lets you destroy any 1 card an opponent controls, vwxyz lets you do the same thing but you can change the attack targets battle position, vw only lets you change the opponents monster battle position.

Fusion Tag ONLY works like that in the OCG.

you need 2 random monsters, 2 fusion tag, and to top of that you have to Level-up Armed Dragon to LV7 to do this. that's a lot of card. also the fact that you MUST summon the Armed Dragon via level up (normal way or by the use of Level-Up card) already requires some effort. drew was right. it is not impossible to summon. but if you are able to summon this card in a duel, then that means you are already on a winning position. on a side note though, you can use Elemental HERO Prisma to speed up the summon.

What a waste of a card. They could've easily made a new ABC fusion instead of this garbage. I'd be easier to summon that creator god card. Edit: Most find it hard to summon A to Z. The new fusion will be about twice as hard.

Kevin Reid Well this card will not be played nor will it be bought unless ur a collector. Armed Dragon lv7 is only half the fusion materials. The other half is XYZ DC. So it is not only Armed Dragon support, but level 4 machine type support as well.

Only one way to summon in one turn and would need 6 specific cards in hand to do it with no opponent interuptions; union hangar, unexpected dai, light the hex sealed fusion, double summon, armed dragon lvl 7, and lvl modulation. And your opponent needs to have a monster on the field. Way too much to ask and you still have to figure out how those cards make it work.

So all you need to do to get Armed Dragon Catapult Cannon is to get five level 4 monters on the field, banish them to get two fusion monsters, banish THEM to get another fusion monster, get a level 5 monster on the field likely by tributing, use a Spell to turn that monster into another, then banish it and the fusion one to get this thing on the field. This means that you need twelve cards, three of which are in the extra deck, to get a 3500/3000 beatstick with a nifty ability you then trigger and hit your opponent with. Your opponent then uses Black Hole to get rid of your boss monster and the duel continues as normal.
