Armored core Verdict Day - Vengeance vs Reaper Squad

As the title says I'm doing a battle simulation of Vengeance fighting the Reaper Squad.
In case you want to know a bit more, Vengeance was specifically made for AC combat, so I was pretty much prepared for it, I completely copied out his Schematics and tried a bit on his color scheme.
Using Vendetta would probably make the battle longer since jack batty equipped the AC with the first generation pulse machine gun and rifle. but the extension of the Ammunition would probably be a lot more preferable in comparison to Vengeance.

Dude, that was amazing. You just trashed the everloving hell out of the Reaper squad, with a STORY MODE AC. Usually the ACs built for the NPCs aren't that good, or have too many flaws for a regular person to use effectively. You pretty much roasted the hell out of them all, and great use of boost drive and Grind Blade!

TBH Vengeance I would argue is the exception, both of its rifles are very solid at tearing down the Armor of an AC, despite its lack of ammo for anything else. Helps that the grind blade is AMAZING

"a game for everyone is a game for no one" does not apply here. armored core 6 is more of an experiment than anything; a test run by fromsoft to see what's best for the series moving forward. armored core 6 made many more sales than any other title in the series. if that's not a testament to how well made it is, i dont know what is. sure, they took vital mechanics away or replaced them, but the reasons you gave are a TERRIBLE excuse to hate on ac6. ac6 is just as much of an armored core game as 4 and 4 answer. you just don't want to see your beloved game franchise change.

@@absolutionone I understand that it was the smartest business decision that they could have made to appeal to as broad and audience that they have as possible and I understand that lots of people got into armored core because of that and I understand it I just don't care about how they went about doing it just look at the success of Ace combat 7 Ace combat 7 went back more to its roots than anything and yet they were still very successful I am of the opinion that they were way too careful with how they made armored core 6 I waited faithfully for over 10 years and this is the game that we got I am fully allowed to have the opinion that I have about the game I understand why it was done but I still don't care for it it's not armored core it's still a good game but it's not an AC game in my opinion

THIS WAS SO COOL!!! I just got a model kit of this AC design and it was looking to see what it was from since I've only played AC6. I know this is like a custom AC with the same parts as Vengence but it still was really nice to watch. Thank you for the video!

Something I wish they carried over from the PS2 generation/4th gen was the ability to see the parts of an AC / get the AC blueprints of story characters, respectively. IIRC Scan mode lets you see the parts of an enemy AC, though it's kinda hard to read, even more when you have to dodge bullets while doing so.

And then Maggy just casually absorbs an entire grind blade thanks to the ever-impervious plot armour. Seriously, it's kinda funny even after you realize the devs probably didn't think about, or have the money/time to add alt cutscenes for silly occasions like UWs. Would probably make the game far more hilarious, though..

Is this game good? I'm getting INCREDIBLY mixed messages from the community about which of the 4 PS3 Armored Core games I should play.

My love for this game will not change. not once have i missed an opportunity to buy a new armored core game creativity is the biggest aspect to this game. but sometimes even with creativity. people still see overpowered setups. weapon combos. etc. but the concept still doesn't change. armored core 4. is more for understanding the story which lead up to for answer. so you'd rather play that than armored core 4. and as for 5 and verdict day. 5 like armored core 4 is more for the story and verdict day is where you want to play cause all the parts are up to date. cutting it down. you'd want to choose between for answer. or verdict day if you want to be a part of current community. cause i seriously doubt anyone goes back to 4 or 5 aside for the story. or resource purposes to update the armored core wiki page. armored core for answer is fast paced. action endless. and intense in terms of arena fighting. though most of the time people are more limited to blade matches unless theres a lobby thats open about bringing all weaponry equipment. where in verdict day it has a bit more to offer such as territory matches, mercenary enlistment, arena matches and enviromental matches (such as boss fights, or mini NPC encounters)

At this point, a big draw for Verdict Day (online) may be dead or at least only have a small number of players. For Answer is mainly single player so no issue there. It really comes down to gameplay. VD is more cumbersome with how it handles boost and the alt mode. FA plays more like Nexus, but with a reliance on fast pace twitch boosting (plus near unlimited boost and no heat system). If you have a Switch, Daemon X Machina will be out this summer (made from some AC Dev veterans). Demo is out and it plays like Nexus with touches of FA and VD.

Ah the grimd blade pretty much the ac equivalent of a kamakazi attack (fckin blows off your entire left arm for 1-2 hits max)

I always find Japanese games with English voice unbearable and Armored Core series is no exception. The madness within those mercs' souls, completely gone.

Debatable. it is very common that dubbing Japanese animation or video games feel or seem half-assed and less enthusiastic. perhaps most Voice actors that were picked lacked the immersive perspective of an armored core pilot. So to that extent I agree. However, there are a few exceptions. and that's not saying that Armored core is the exception. but rather if you play dubbed Japanese games long enough and focus on the details. you'll eventually see some people who performed better or put in more effort than the rest of the cast. and you can easily see that exception. The reason for that is because Armored core. isn't entirely centered to a Japanese plotline, the pilots aren't Japanese, and most locations don't take place in japan either. all pilots have different nationalities and ethnicities, which is perfect for hiring multiple racial voice actors. such as making Anjou (from armored core 4) having a French accent. and Mary Shelly British. Therefore in my honest opinion, I certainly agree that it is certainly impossible to dub Japanese games and animations. but that only counts if it's directed to their own cultured references. it's only exceptional if they make games based on foreign culture. if you're gonna make your antagonist an American solider, or a German dictator, you would want a German or an American voice actor wouldn't you?

That quest took way to long, amateur piloting at best, I did that quest in 6 mins 47 sec's but even my time is long compared to other AC veterans. Try again my friend !!
