ARMORTEK ELEFANT: 1/6 Scale METAL TANK BUILD - "Tanks for 10 Years" Project - PT 3 | RC ADVENTURES

www.Armortek.co.uk is the website that I sourced this mammoth kit from.. or should I say "Elefant kit", to be more specific? This is a truly remarkable amount of work to get this kit prepared for building.. and even when we were prepared - we had no concept of how much work would be required to build a kit like this! A CHALLENGE WE ACCEPT, EAGERLY!
What a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. This build is certainly impressive already, and the aluminum armor is very heavy. This is only the first 3 pages of the instruction book.. we have so much more to go...
I have gathered some of the key people who have helped make our show so special over the years - to come together and build the largest RC kit I could find -

This massive tank has more than 1350 parts, and will weigh over 200lbs when it is completed. I opted to get all of the optional parts, including the Smoke Kit, the Motion Kit, the Recoil Kit, AND the Sound Kit! I knew for this momentous occasion - we wanted to go big!

Just needs fine tuning and the hard shell plastic, Jeep Cherokee looking body needs paint and assembly. I give you partial credit for inspiring me! It's going to be a pretty cool 1/10 scale build. @@TheRealRCSparks Hell Yeah, you are just lifting the bar even higher, Well done, by the way which is the best bang for buck scale crawler, currently thinking of getting a TRX4 Bronco also like the Cragsman f150 but it is 1/8 scale, I just like the idea of being able to lock and unlock my diff's and having 2 speed gearbox, is there others I should be looking at

What's really cool about the Elefant is it was an ELECTRIC drive tank in the 1:1. Gas engine to power generators which supplied the drive motors in the rear. Very interesting AFV.

Yep. Dieselelecric. The Ferdinand was pretty much Porsches rejected tiger hull remade into a Tank destroyer, refitted with the 88 and called the Elefant. They had 90 hulls laying around so... The Drive was pretty reliable, easier to maintain

Just spent one and a half years saving up for the platinum edition traxxas slash and received it last week. 11 year old me didn't read the description and just figured out it doesn't come with a battery or charger. Now I can't run it and am saving up for the battery and charger. Love the tank though. Can't wait till it's finished. Love your channel and keep up the great work.

If it's brand new, you could refund it and get an Arrma. I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy it more if all the youtube videos I've been watching of Arrma aren't lies and bs ^.^ Don't buy the Senton 6S though since with your budget you wouldn't be able to easily get replacement wheels (uses 17mm hex wheels instead of the usual 12mm for 1/10 scale).
