love the molle system, I use the knife/torch pouch for my quick deploy ridgeline, sits on my shoulder strap, I also have very similar belt setup, though i don't carry mess tins. Love the channel, subbed and working my way through the content ✊stay safe!

Shoepolish burns very well too. In the military we used it as emergency fuel to start a fire. Always handy!

Hand sanitizer can also be used instead of fuel to prime start a svea 123 stove, it works well.

Nice find mate, well worth a £5 in anyones money. Unless in an emergency I wouldnt use the boot polish as cam cream as its not good for the skin too many petrochemicals in it. Can cause bad skin rashes. Better off using it as emergency tinder or even as a pop stove. Definitely a good little set up thou with some good little additions. Getting onto your bergen and belt kit another great set up. Always great interesting vids Bex. Stay safe mate ATB Rob 😊👍

Boot polish cam cream was just a gag...lol I now tailor on utility pouches to my Bergen belt, but the hippo pad does the same job. (although fitting pouches so far forward on the hips is not allowed for current serving staff) but will defo do for a wild camp...thanx for watching happy trails

Only know as I found out the hard way back in my army cadet days 🤦‍♂️ git to get off too lol. Definitely great pouches now days, I was used to the old 58/44 mix with the old Alice pouch if we could find em. Great idea thou to add em onto your bergen hip belt especially for easy reach kit. I love watching the cadets apply the cam cream pasted on 1/2 inch thick...lol Try the water based cam cream, it comes off easy with wet wipes, leave the oil based to the kids...lol

Hi bex I use the life venture hammock its 10ft long and weighs 120g with 2 carabeenas whoopi slings and tree huggers about 350 its amazing.

Sounds great! Went with the Dutchware 11 foot 1.6 hexon material. Will look into the life adventure hammock (if its not the parachute nylon) which I don't get along with too well...atb...bex

I like the belt idea with the molle pouches, I’ve seen those two loops on my small pack before and wondered about adding a belt. I’ve just got a Ww2 US aluminium canteen set with cup and lid and I’m using the cup and lid as a kettle in conjunction with a hexi which I’ve drilled a 70mm hole in so I can use a trangia type spirit burner and trangia pot for burning fire dragon or hexi solid fuel with. It works for me although it’s less than perfect, but it would have probably easier to buy a Lixada folding stove in hindsight. But it’s a multifunctional stove set that fits inside my mess tins which is what I wanted. I found the british water bottle set pouch to be too bulky when attached to my belt on my trousers so that’s why I went with the US canteen set, but I can see the way you have your set up it wouldn’t be such a problem. Adding a hippo belt to a bergen and then Utility pouches for water is a must. As you probably gathered by now I hate carrying the weight of the water, kilo per litre. Great idea to utilise the canteen set to suit your purpose. I have a similar method using the crusader burning basket, can be used with hexi, or iso gel or alcohol stoves or need spirits. That vid coming next Wednesday, might give you some ideas to adapt to your set up....happy trails

No mate its just a crow bag we use to train the cadets with 12-18 yo. Not very durable compared to the cordura fabric of the full size adult burden (sorry Bergen) but is comfy and light and spacious for weekend bivvy camping while night fishing in the warmer months, and will last you a long time if you look after it well. I have a collection of bergen types, each pre packed for different situations. PLCE to Burghaus to Karrimor. The components of a bug out bag should be tailored to the individuals skill set, mine is light and fast, with few components, but optimal for all UK weather systems for an unspecified time out. Bug out bags on youtube are often overloaded with the wrong kit with little reasoning to why (example too many guns and ammo, often with no sleeping bag rations, or a change of wet and dry kit.) Mine consists shelter insulation, and a cook set. A survival kit, rations, and a field kit & wet & dry. 9 Kg inc the weight of the pack it self/Tooling added for long term wilderness living, with the hope of never needing it. My tip to anyone is to keep the focus on being warm dry and well fed, optimise your own pack accordingly with what every brand of kit works for you.....bit long winded but important to know...lol Have a great weekend
