I thought of Arne today while I was out about in the country buying fall goodies - apple cider donuts, apples and cider. On my journey I passed a big field of rolled hay bails. Each was covered with white plastic wrap and they were standing upright. It looked like a field of giant marshmallows! If you had seen it, I am sure you would have laughed! Put a bag of marshmallows in that new stocking. Looks like there is plenty of room! 😄😁🤣

Personally I prefer the red on the worsted but the green of the pure wool . The sock is beautiful. Just never managed to do color pattern work. Never figured out how to manage all rhe different yarns at the same time.

No 4mm is a number 8 in the uk. Well that’s what I use hehe. Love the top Arne. Also the dark green is nicer in my opinion are you knitting your stocking ready for you thrift shop trips , so Carlos can buy you lots of goodies. Have you tried putting a colour wash in with your shirt when you next wash it it takes away any running colours. You two make me laugh so much. Keep it up. Hehe😀😅

Hello Arne & Carlos, I would love to hear you speak about fit considerations for a simple sweater. For example, you said something I didn't quite catch about the amount of bulk at the waist in reference to length, and why Carols cannot wear some sweaters that suit Arne just fine. BTW, Arne, I love the indigo tinted -- are those roses? -- shirt. I have a skirt in a similar print, the same thing happened, somehow the white got a coral pink tint and it looks fabulous. About the fit query... for straighter bodies and those that can be noticably curved in places ;-)

For after thought heel; no need to cut working yarn. Knit to 18 stitches before beginning of round marker. Drop working yarn and knit next 36 stitches with scarp yarn (your needles 1 &4). Return these 36 stitches to left needle , pick up working yarn again and continue knitting over the scrap yarn stitches in pattern.
