Oh WOW, your studio is just amazing! My goodness, the height of the ceiling!! What really got my attention was the craftsmanship; how the wooden beams intersect with each other. It will be a wonderful space to work in (especially now that "that THING is going", much to Arne's content, lol). Thank you for letting us in your private working space. I really appreciated it. Love the old suitcases as storage units. ❤

Oh, Arne. You should take your grandmothers basket into the house. It's so beautiful and she would want you to use it and enjoy it. Not let it rot in the shop. Why have it if you won't enjoy it? I use vacuum bags, they are fun Carlos

My mother taught me that once a year, baskets should be soaked for 10 to 15 min in a tub of water. That rehydrate the material they are made so they will last longer. I live in a dry desert, so I've been known to do it twice a year. Yes, you should have that basket in the house and taking care of it.

The bird cage caught my eye! I used to raise canaries. When I heard their song for the first time, it captivated me! It was difficult to find canaries where I live, so I decided to breed them so others could enjoy their song. My mom and my sister each got a canary from me. I would love to see the birdcage up there on the shelf in your workshop!

I like the little red lunch box or at least it’s what it looks like. It’s near the Christmas tree and I believe in a smallish white basket. I can see that being used as a trunk for the clothes of your new dollhouse, dolls. But in my place I would have fabric stamps stored neatly, to make bags for my knitting. Ah guys. Thank you so much for taking us on your creative journey and future plans. I enjoyed your guest house tour and I could just see myself laying in that cozy bed and just peacefully sleeping. Okay, “ I Spy “ 😆 a beautiful wooden object in front of your awesome designer bike, like large wooden spools ? Old fashioned wooden spools for yarn? Really love old objects they used for spinning yarn… And I used an easel like that in my college art classes. You can’t find a better easel even though it is a bit large and cumbersome. 😬😆 Lastly, I am sooooo excited that you are going to make another doll house!!!! That has always been on my “bucket list.” I love love that you are using very old patterns for the chairs. I have some very old magazines, and a very old Spiegel Catalog from like 1949. You’d be surprised what you could buy in those days, appliances, automotives, pianos, mower engines, etc. lol very interesting as a conversation piece;) Thank you!!! Sending much 💕 Mary ^ - ^ 🥰

Arne, You can save a step in transferring images to wood by using a wax-free transfer paper called Saral. Place it between your copied image and the wood and use a stylus or other hard instrument to trace with. It comes in a sample pack of five different colors as well as rolls 12' x 12" in a single color. It's reusable and easy to erase if necessary. My thanks to you and Carlos for sharing your knowledge and inspirations.
