If we use that for VFX Shots, could this be used to distort and disintegrate a Character for example.. How to control falloff and get creative control? If it works with UVs, you could ramp animate areas and control start and end of the distortion and use the same map for an opacity fade out.. Looks like a different way as I would normally use Bifrost for that kind of effects... Do you think that could work? It seems way faster..

Hi Lee, love the effects on the head, is there a way to turn the volume displacement into an actual mesh that can be sculpted in Zbrush further?

I would love to know this too! If you find out would you mind telling me?

Really love Lee's tutorials! Please, make more :) Question: I tried to do this following along with the online C4D tutorial but wanted it with the toonshader. Is this possible? I couldn't get it to work..

When you made your head renders did you use the head model converted to a volume and like a sphere model converted to a volume and combine them?
@LeeGriggs3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you shouldn't have to combine them. You can use a camera projection node with the same texture for both of them.

@@LeeGriggs Ok, so I know you may not want to get into this, but can you point to where you get some of you awesome organic textures for these projections?

This doesn't seem right...your rendered faces have spec on them but the Volume shader does not. Is this some wizardry with a mix shader?
@grzdiz Жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same. Have you found out? There is really not a lot of information on this volume displacement on the Internet.
