Hi Rachel! Our home in the US also has the kitchen as the biggest room and I've got about 75 plants in there- many small pots of cacti and succulents but many hanging plants as well. My sisters always called it the greenhouse we ate in. 😊

@GardeningatDouentza Hi! Our house was built-in in the 1960s and the previous owners had the kitchen extended to include what was the deck, then had a new deck built off the kitchen and biggest bedroom. We bought the house because of the kitchen!

Your correct about the pothos. I put one in my windowless laundry room . It's growing very well. Nice and thick not leggy, which I was afraid of.

Perfect timing. I just came in from refilling my koi pond due to my negligence. Lol someone set the fountain too close to the edge and emptied it during the night lol much needed orchids. Thank you

Wait till the one or two stragglers catch the Douentza Spring Fever ! The others are going ‘ gang busters .’ The orchids look good . -Ground orchids - we love bletilla -- I thought if you can grow dactylorhiza fuchsii. I’m sure you could grow ( & perhaps already grow ) the Chinese bletilla ground orchid . Thank you for a lovely video .

some aroids are VERY slow to take to a moss pole, and if that root node isn't touching the moss when it is brand new, forget it, it won't attach (unless you cut the stem). Give the adansonii some time, I'm sure you will see roots going into the pole soon enough.

I remember the first video i ever watched, you had a lovely display of air plants on a tray. I was hooked, and over the years I have quite i collection now. Do you still have yours? Love the 'cherry baby'

I still have a good few air plants but not as many as in that video. I keep a lot of the small ones on my Angreacum orchid pot, sitting on the medium surface. The big ones are hung. Unfortunately I lost the Spanish moss some time back

Thank you. No, I don't spray. I water whenever the top of the pole feels dry.

I do love a good cattleya orchid. Scale insects - like spider mites - have no souls. I'm plagued by cottony cushion scale. I mean, they are just so gross, bleh.
