As soon as Casio makes the Duro in a 40mm case, I’ll by one immediately. I have a Duro now, but the 44mm case is on the large side. 40mm is my sweet spot.

It is pronounced Doo - roh , which in Spanish means hard , tough or resilient . I own the blue one and it is matched to a Barton's navy blue soft silicone strap . The watch looks good in any strap that you throw at him … on top of that , the watch is big but it is so comfortable that you literally forget that it's there . The strap the watch came in with , ended up in my Seiko SKX which came with a torture device instead of a strap . Great video , sir . Thanks .

I like the nylon straps but I'm not a fan of how the nato style attaches to the watch where they loop around the bars. They also make the watch itself appear thicker by pushing it up an extra mm or two.

Interesting. I like all three watches. Good point about the black/gold one and matching the hardware on NATO straps. I don’t like full orange straps and red white and blue would get dirty easily. The others were all fine. Solid black would work on two of them and the blue strap worked well on the other.

I have the strap that shows at 2:33 on my Gold Duro, except I didn't like the look of the NATO third hold down, so I cut that part off, converting it into a single pass through band, like 007 used in the Original Doctor No. (NATO straps weren't invented yet).....PS. In that movie, they used an undersized band that doesn't fit the watch he had on.

Though the Komodo is pretty chunky and I don't really want to make it taller/thicker. I was thinking of maybe cutting the Nato to make it more of a Zulu/G10 style if need be.

The duro is an excellent watch for the money. You can pull it off with a 6"wrist. Smart watches are big on so many people no one really notices the size as much. If you want to go up a bit in quantity/value you should look at Citizen Promaster #ecodrive or Seiko 5 line. So many offerings. On a strict budget though, this is hard to beat!!
