A little shout up for the E Movis Tag, absolutely brilliant, worked every time and the T30 lane means you keep moving through the barrier. Gets you past the often long lines of lorries very often.

For all those going on about tags (which Bob can't have) its much better to get one direct from ATMB, cheaper than the Emovis one.

Not sure if you have been advised by other subscribers... The Clarity Card needs the PIN unlocking otherwise it will not work on the Peages. Had the same trouble with my exact card a few years ago. Rang Halifax from France and they said there was nothing wrong with it and they haven't put a block on it. If you can get to a cash point and can access pin services you'll see it has 😅an option to unlock the pin. Say yes to this and you'll be sorted. Remember to do it every time you get a new card. It's only the Peage system that will not accept it. It's a good tip for anyone going on the Peages in France. We had to use my wife's debit card which cost us each transaction. At least we know now.

We stayed on this site for a stopover night as we headed south. It is a lovely village and nice site. From the preview I presume you are off through the war graves. We didn’t stop off anywhere but it was very moving just driving past the masses of crosses. The first toll is always so nerve wracking!!! We started putting the card in and then changed to waving the contactless. We only held the traffic up once 😃😃 Toll stress is the worst thing about Europe travel 😃. We looked at all the specific toll cards but it seemed a hastle to pay for them and then some were a bit sporadic. So it was just debit card which seemed to be fine once we worked out where to put it! Safe trip guys.

This is what says on the emovis site. "As long as your vehicle is no more than 3 metres in height and less than 3.5 tonnes GVW you can use any non height restricted lane that has the Liber-t symbol illuminated. A vehicle of this size falls into the Class 2 fee structure. If your vehicle is larger than this then please contact our sister company Eurotoll." So if I lied about the weight of my Motorhome that would be OK?

@charliegould5865
@charliegould5865 Жыл бұрын
I got a tag for the tolls in France, it makes it so much easier. I got it through a deal with the Caravan and Motorhome club. It doesn’t cost much to have, you only get charged for the months you use it plus the tolls. So when I go to the race at LeMans in June I pay a charge for June and the toll fees. But it means no getting close to the toll machines, no struggling to reach for tickets and payment slots. You just drive reasonably slowly into the tag lane and as you approach the barrier the lights go green and up goes the barrier. The only snag is it can be a shock when you get home and the toll bill arrives later all tallied up with a total. But it costs no more than pay as you go on the toll booths.

At least you didn't have my nightmare the machine wouldn't accept the ticket and i had a whole load of cars behind me getting very impatient beeping their horns. I had to press for assistance but couldn't hear what he was saying in the end he just put the fee on the display to pay. 😂 Nevertheless we had a brilliant holiday like im sure you both will.
