What an amazing place that is. Never heard of that before - I think you’re right Bob, we Brits concentrate, understandably, on the huge losses that we suffered but this place reminds us of all the dreadful battles that went on. What I found incredible was that both the Germans and French occupied the caverns at the same time for a period. Just incredible!! The First World War is a monument to the madness of war. And still we have them even now - crazy. Great share Bob and Jenny. Enjoyed.

Very sensitively shown, can hear in Jenny’s voice the feelings it must’ve given to be there. Em 💜

What a fascinating place. The conditions must have been dreadful. And yet wars continue... it's almost as though we haven't learned...

It's one of the reasons we go abroad, to see where our grandparents and uncles fought and died.

Great video Bob and Jenny and sounds a very interesting museum and the views were outstanding it’s amazing how war has shaped much of France and makes you emotional to think of those times I remember when we visited vimy ridge and seeing the soldiers names and the landscape scarred by war must put this on my list to visit! All the best to you both Daniel

Thanks Bob/Jenny, very thought provoking and well presented but then I'm an Ex Soldier so it would be. What I did realise is that for a UK m/h it's difficult without a co pilot for views alone as you mention once where you couldn't see at all

Yes, some junctions can be tricky without an extra pair of eyes.

This was a surprisingly interesting museum and visitors centre. So much history to learn and understand. It certainly educated us on different aspects of the Great War 🙂 Trev

And yet despite the millions of deaths in WW1 & WW2, the world still hasn't learnt that wars are bad for us 😢

it's why we need to remember them.

Great video Bob. It’s wonderful how the French still preserve their history and yet we appear to be destroying ours.

Loving the Allo Allo pronunciations😉 Glad the weathers brightened-up for you. Such beautiful scenery, hard to imagine all the fighting and bloodshed that’s happened there.

Thank you, sorry, but don't expect perfect pronunciations with us. If we rehearsed it we'd take forever to make anything.
