Arriving At Cayton Village Caravan And Motorhome Club Site | Yorkshire Tour 2019

We arrive at Cayton Village Caravan And Motorhome Club Site. The site has recently been taken over by the Caravan And Motorhome Club and is due to be refurbished starting November 2019.
There are around 161 pitches on the main site where we are staying, and another 109 "super pitches" on the "Laurels". Only two standard non-awning pitches on the whole site.
We do Motorhome Reviews, Motorhome Days Out, Help, Hints and Tips on Motorhomes, Motorhome Tours in the UK and Europe, we visit Motorhome Shows, and spend over a third of our year living in a motorhome. In fact all things motorhome!

Remember to use the park and ride :) right by My Mothers home if you get the chance she is at Bempton , A medieval village and a historic church that is open until 4pm ( my late Father buried there at the back by the windows Ged ) it has cliffs and is part of rspc for birds , The Puffins will be gone now but still have the other birds. We are off to Lincoln this w/e down the A1. I found a Henry V111 penny in the field next to the site :)

It's a lovely site, glad that it's going to be refurbished. Has bus stops outside site, to either Scarborough or Filey. Village centre short walk from site with a pub (bit basic) and an upmarket restaurant - The Farrier.

I imagine that they re-lay the hard standing pitches, a form of soft concrete and gravel cover. My understanding - there are three different types of Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites, this one will be owned and operated by the club, affliated and certified sites are owner operated, but use the club to advertise and book.

Bob, have you tried the metal pegs you can get for the colapz waste pipe?come in a set of 10 with a little bag.i recently purchased a colapz waste pipe set after seeing your review.although not had chance to use it yet.but certainly takes up less room.Also how do you generally find the 4G signal on Vodapone for your router on your travels?keep the videos coming.great work.

The drain is actually higher than the motorhome tank, so no amount of supports would help it drain. The router has been great so far, even with a less than good signal like here at Cayton. I will do a summary of it towards the end of the tour.

Hi Bob & Jenny, We love your videos so much. We bought our first campervan two years ago and are just about to move up to a motorhome and your videos have been so informative and helpful-thank you. You typify the way we see ourselves as we shake off the shackles of the hum-drum 09:00 - 17:00 and set our selves free. We have always been on the edge as we have always had motorbikes and explored at weekends but campervanning has allowed us more freedom to roam. Only one criticism Bob what the f*** is going - vegetarian? Seriously Bob, is it worth giving up a bacon roll for? Or do you seriously believe that you giving up a bacon roll will convince 2.8bn Chinese to forgo the pleasure of a sweet and sour pork? Best regards Kevin & Bronwynne

Thanks, I'd never force my vegetarianism on anyone, but since you raise the subject, I hate the cruelty of keeping and then killing intelligent animals just so we can eat. I suppose at least the Chinese eat dogs, would you?

Our blue Staffi has just given me a withering look! No chance of her going veggie though as she will only eat meat. I gave up eating in Chinese restaurants years ago just to on the safe side. Truth is though Bob, and we live in Yorkshire, looking out our window to enjoy the view with sheep, cows and goats. They wouldn't be there without using them for food production and for the countryside would be the lesser for it. Regards K & B

Thanks, if we're talking club sites, cheapest was probably Englethwaite Hall, think it was £15 a night and most expensive was Chatsworth - £35 a night. Yes we'll be at the NEC, did you see my competition to win tickets?

Cayton is a nice site been there a few times. The Laurels section is down past the toilet block and around to the left. Cayton bay beach is about 20 mins walk turn left from the site. There’s a watering hole about half way. Turn right outside site to village. Two shops a couple of pubs and a chippie. Bus service straight out the site.
