When ridiculous power is just enough...Lol. Swapped on a Limitless 34T spool gear to replace the stock 47T Kraton 8s spur and used another for the pinion for 1/1 gearing. The dual grub screws anchor perfectly on the transmission shaft and eliminates the need for oversized pinions with lower kv setups. So far I'm loving this Hobbystar 56112. Shout out to M2C Racing for the brilliant upgrades and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

So far I'm very impressed with this Hobbystar 840kv and 1/1 gearing 👀. The Limitless gear option fits perfectly. Wanted to add the M2C Racing suspension blocks have done Killer locking in the arms and taking brutal impacts 💪. I did find I'd bent one of the tool steel shock shafts, but they're definitely WAY stronger than stock. Should be available on M2C website soon. 😎💪👊👊

Rich Duperbash hey bro! Thank you for other awesome video and huge airs 🥶 for what I’m seeing in your contents, the kraton 6s (with m2c upgrades for sure) is pretty more durable than the 8s (with m2c upgrades too).. is that right? I would try a bigger scale but the momentum seems really killer 😂
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 4 жыл бұрын
@@cante199 thanks Brother 🤗!!!! I feel both the 6s and 8s are extremely durable with proper tuning and M2C upgrades 👍. That said, the 6s has a huge weight savings advantage for durability. From a physics standpoint, the 6s can take more odd angle landings and hits with far less impact force. The 8s is a BIG heavy Beast that commands serious respect 👀. I'm keenly aware of this when out bashing. They're really 2 different animals. For gnarly big terrain, the 8s kills it. For absolute speed and agility, the 6s truly rips even stock. Both are quite durable dressed for the occasion.🍻😎💪👊👊

So wow, amazing. Quarantine Bashes are epic. I've got all 3 of my Arrmas back in full bash mode and loving every moment of it. That 8S Kraton, I saw a video from someone who does no modes and they were screaming about 35MPH. I sat and thought really? You get how under powered this beast is, especially for the money laid out? What I love, Rich. You break it, then rebuild it stronger and over and over, getting every once of speed from them. So unrelated to the Kraton, I've finally got a couple 6S for my V3 Talion and it's speed has jumped by8-10MPH depend on heat and run time. Seriously, I'm almost hitting 70 and I gotta watch or risk it running off. Anyway thanks again, I love the big Beasts. I wish they would put out an 8S Talion. I think I'd have to pull the trigger on that for sure! Peace!

Thanks so much Harry 🤗!!!! Yeah I could only muster around 38mph bone stock. I'm not sure why they put a 17T pinion on when the truck handles a 23-24T no problem 🤔. Future releases will certainly be geared and tuned more aggressively. The entire 6s line screams 😱. The Typhon in particular is Crazy fast and nimble running 6s especially 😍. I'm sure we'll be seeing other 1/5 options soon. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

AMAZING bash Brother Rich! All the runs were full bore beast mode!💪💪Wicked killer airs too!! The 800kv motor looks to be doing perfect in that setup running heavier wheels, upgrades etc! The longer wheelbase Kraton definitely is benefiting! I can tell from the response of fast in air corrections!👍Those frontie saves were epic! I'm beating around the bush on another set of tires for the Crusher..Just can't decide!😝The Xmaxx tires don't seem to hold up and the belted tires seem a bit bouncy..At least the shocks are much more plush with the M2C treatment!😍Great vid my friend and what a way to demonstrate all the upgrades working hard to keep her in one piece!😎💪🤘🤘🍻

Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜!!!! No doubt Mitch's upgrades are getting the job done 😍. It's easy to take them for granted, but that's set it and forget it bliss. It's been super fun experimenting with the different spool gears 🥰. Running 34/34T feels perfect with this 840kv 💪. The gears are locked in and the weight placement feels balanced with the motor more central. So glad it didn't grenade after your bad luck with the 5692 😝. The torque gain is massive and the acceleration WAY faster 👀. The heavy weight is forgotten once into the throttle. She jumps great and corrects easily 👌. This is the first time I felt excited and content with the full length power. I'm still adjusting to the midair throttle and brake timing, but I'm friggin stoked about the power Bro 😱. Just have to be mindful of the tires. Wish I could help you with an option wheel choice Eric. I love the XMaxx tires on the Crusher, but they don't hang in sharp rock/gravel and the foams separate at the crappy glue joints 🤣. We'll have to talk more about possible options. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

@TheBigToe69
@TheBigToe69 4 жыл бұрын
Spacecadet But all these upgrades are available right now. Half the fun of Rc’s is working on them yourself and learning what does what on them. Also, all the upgrades he has aren’t necessarily needed right away. Replace parts as needed, not just because. The chassis is the biggest and most expensive upgrade and most people don’t have the experience or the terrain to go as hard as Rich. The new version of the Kraton 8s has some better bracing in it and I’ve not seen any issues with the stock chassis since. But if you want to go this hard then the option to build a serious setup is already available. I guarantee you would spend a lot less installing these upgrades yourself rather than buying a factory version of it. All these upgrades can be had for about 1000$, that’s the chassis, esc and motor and all the other parts. A factory built monster like that would cost around 3000$ guaranteed. A lot more than doing it yourself.

hello, I have a question I always watch your videos you always demand a lot from your car with the jumps I wonder why the control arms always break 4 times with me and each time one is defective I don't even jump as much at the time, the chassis holds you have to change anything?
@TheBigToe69
@TheBigToe69 4 жыл бұрын
It’s called experience and control. If you’re breaking your setup that much then it’s you that needs to learn how to land jumps and run your Rc. You can’t be landing on one wheel or slamming into things sideways and not expect something to break. Notice how he lands his jumps almost every time, flat and on all 4 tires. When he does break something, he owns up to it as his mistake and doesn’t whine about it being the trucks fault.
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Dirk 👍. I've had solid luck with my arms, but have always ran in 55F + ambient temps too. I softened my suspension with lighter oils prior to swapping in M2C Racing O ring style pistons anyways. Allowing for easier chassis slap takes strain off of the arms and suspension components. Also run droop screws and keep my shocks dialed with fresh oil. The biggest thing is landing cleanly on all 4's when possible, but every bit helps avoid breakages. Some guys soak theirs with WD-40 to soften the plastic some. Hope this helps my friend. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Will this truck be as tough as my Mojave has been? Love watching you drive this Rich but, Only a year in and just now tapping the breaks to bring the front end down (air control). Now I'm doing backflips accidentally🤣😂
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Brother 😜. Getting air control down takes time and practice. The timing of each rig is different depending on wheel base, size, power setup, brake force, gearing, weight, aero, and details like suspension and punch setting. The Kraton 8s is tough for it's size, but the sheer mass involved works against it's durability limits when considering the physics involved. The 6s rigs will always take awkward landings, brutal rolls, and hard impacts better than the heavier 8s rigs. The Mojave (and Senton 6s) have a distinct advantage with the large SCT bodies, bumpers, and nerf bars. The wheels and axels are largely protected by the body itself. The 8s rigs have to be driven with mass in mind. If you hit something solid or spike one wheel off a ramp...etc... something is breaking. It's not that the truck is weak, it's simply the forces involved with greater mass in motion. 😎💪👊👊

@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
The 34/39 gearing was too slow with this 840kv motor. 34/34 is perfect. Doesn't matter if you run 34/34 or 39/39 really as both are 1/1 gearing ratios. Biggest thing is 34/34 keeps the heavy motor more central in the chassis bay vs near the mudguard. This definitely helps balance the rig better overall. 😎💪👊👊

Rich why the shorter cans in the heavy vehicles? 5898/5892 Are you just trying to save weight? Or did you have breakages with the heavier 56112? My mountscrews busted with a 56112 800kv in the weekend. I find the power difficult to control on acceleration, is that easier with the shorter cans i guess? Also air control is not great with the 800kv 39/39, sometimes nose in the outcast 8s doesnt come up. Thanks

Hey Brother 👊. I simply enjoy experimenting with different set-ups. Still absolutely LOVE my 840 and 980kv 56112's. I was actually trying to reorder a new 980 from RC juice, but it was backordered at the time. My first one was quite damaged when I spiked that huge boulder awhile ago 😝. The steering rack jackhammered my endbell.violently. The endbell ended up stripped out and wire harness is super stretched. I change my stock hardware to grade 12.9 M4 and M5 screws from Monsterbolts.com. My Leopard 5898 isn't much lighter than my Hobbystars. @richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 4 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend adding 12 x 14mm carbon fiber tubing to the top brace. Definitely helps keep the brace in check and is a very cheap and easy strength upgrade. Beyond that would be an M2C Racing 7075 chassis 😍. It's hard to recommend specific upgrades as most are preference based and depend on durability needs. If you're running stock electronics, I'd recommend advancing to max punch 5, disabling the AVC, and gearing up to a 23T pinion. Tuning the diffs with 20 million cst center, 1 million cst front, 500k rear helps get the power down. The M2C O ring style pistons are a fantastic upgrade for plush landings with less after bounce. Hope this helps. 🍻😎💪👊👊
