I had the owner of being asked to be Scout Master of Troop 542, Seminole District in South Florida years ago, a very rewarding experience I might add. Your Arrow of light project is an out standing gift for the boys that will receive them. Thanks for sharing.

Greetings from a graduate of Cub Pack 410 (and a former leader) ! This is an excellent idea. A few observations: Rivets were the bailiwick of Steel and Iron Workers, the most manly of pursuits and there would have been no problem with placing one every 4-6 inches or running a line through the letters of their name. A touch of the same paint can be applied to the rivetheads if desired with a Q-Tip or fine artist's brush but, ... see above. And one final comment, Welding is a Boy Scout approved activity where a patch is awarded, you can get the boys a head start by having them 'help' make their awards. A chat with the scout leader/sponsor you aught to be able to get them another earned badge.We Be Loyal Scouts - "Any Time, Any Place"

Weld nuts on backside of top part, bolts to come in from the back plate.

I thought about that, but I am afraid it will cause more warping

Those are amazing! Do you ever take orders?
@JohnHarmon5 жыл бұрын
No. In fact, I have about 5 more scouts about to earn their arrow of lights.... I was going to go on etsy and place orders for them (out of wood). Too many for me to make this time around.
