There will never be another time like this or another show like this one. In the history of television , Johnny Carson remains the King of Late Night T.V. and will always reign as King. What is a Zoomer? I also grew up without a lot of friends just one regular guy, neighbor & classmate, Ted. A couple of other classmates that were casual, but not close. There were 2 sisters that I played a lotta games with from the age of 7 to 14. I had a big crush on them and in the latter year I lusted after one of them a lot, but then they moved from the apartment building and dad bought a house in a far off suburb. 5 girls and no boys until the last year they tried one last time and got a boy, Walter. 🙏🤗

Wow, I've never seen this before! Can't remember it being on any of his anniversary shows either! This was Carson's genius. If a sketch or joke failed, the audience did not blame him. In fact he could usually then make it even funnier! Here he makes it ten times funnier by him not realizing his stache fell off! This was something Leno simply could not do. But Conan could also do this! This is also the only time I remember seeing Johnny completely give up on a bit!
@mjoven1975 Жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a Floyd R Turbo sketch that went off the rails that Johnny pulled the plug on early, and it was hilarious. Johnny had the ability to make a sketch or a monologue that was bombing simply by his use of self deprecating humor and his ad lib skills.
@stupidsmart-phone69113 ай бұрын
There was one other Art Fern sketch that was going so bad Johnny ducked behind the podium for a moment then scooted it back to the door to exit without being seen, but with no explanation. After the commercial at his desk he said something about it being so bad he couldn't finish, he couldn't cut it short, and he couldn't just walk out normally.

seriously never seen another person on TV be as personable and likeable as Carson. which is weird when you think about how difficult he was in real life. but somehow when you're watching him you feel like he's your friend and you're right there with him. when he's funny, he's funny. when the jokes fail, he's somehow even funnier. when things go wrong, like here, it's a riot.
