Hello my friend! Thanks to a wonderful suggestion from a fan I mixed these two DuraClear Iridescent Varnishes by Decoart together and the result was shocking!!

I'm so grateful for the videos on this. I bought some and was curious of what would happen if I used it as a medium to paint a galaxy with my color shift, dragonfly, and enchanted paints. This would definitely alter the color of the paint. So, its back to Michael's next week lol.

How would this product look if you were to use it on clear acrylic Christmas ornaments?

I think it would look great! With one coat it would add a slight shimmer to the ornament

@@magicallymj Which way should I apply the product? Paint the outside of it or fill the inside with it then dump out the extra? I think filling the inside up would be better because the brush strokes might show up on it.

Yea I think putting it on the inside would work wonderfully.

Oh yes! It's just most visible on a darker surface.

I don't understand! MJ please explain! How are these iridescent!? They just look like pearly glossy paint! It doesn't look like a varnish not does it look iridescent!

The exact definition of Iridescent is "showing luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles." With this varnish, you can add a bit of color that will slightly change and shimmer as you move it and change the direction the light hits hit. On a black surface, the color is very visible but if it were put over lighter colors, the varnish effect would be more of a hint of color. And that hint would shimmer at every angle.

@@magicallymj thank you for the beautiful explanation MJ. But this product should not be called so. Because the iridescence is too mild. And it should not be called a varnish because it would ruin a painting if adds a mild color on top of it. But thank you so much for your explanation!
