Moral of the story: All drawers, bins, and shelves in Myriam's studio are just full of puppies. I looooove this video! Thank you for sharing the whole process with us. :3 It feels really special getting to spend more time with you. ♥

“So this is my Emmy..” you so sweet and humbly and crazy talented and adorable and I will definitely be watching more of your channel. You really have utilized your space so well, and realistic for the average person, I find half my furniture on the street or thrift shops. Thank you for taking the time to share your space with us. I love the paper birds, reminded me of when I was younger and we made 1000 paper cranes.

Bless you Myriam! A 44 minute video?!! I am studying for my exams and will watch this as soon as I finish my goal of three chapters (a reward for being productive) . Already got one done and this video will be a great motivation to check the other two off my to do list. I am telling myself that once I am done with exams I would have all the time in the world to make some art. But for now, I have your video to feed my creative soul.

It's so nice to see a studio that is setup to be a functional and creative space, rather than just for Instasthetic. Thanks for inviting us in and showing us around!

As an another upcycling visual artist I was actually really happy to see this video and your imaginative solutions to saving money and still having a studio that works for you! Usually these kind of videos I've seen are made by people who manage to buy their own house and set up their studios with brand new furnitures, tools and expensive paint sets perfectly organized in their original boxes. This tour and especially the fact that you also have a cold place where hanging pieces on the walls is prohibited was really relatable and down to earth. It inspired me a lot! The next thing I'll get is definitely another drawer for papers. Thank you!

Damn, an emmy 😮 there's a lot in there, must be nice and overwelming.. I have one trunk and couple of shelves and I'm already stressed out by it... stuff seem to pop up and cluster together until there's a tower of knick knacks over everything 😂

I'm sure people have mentioned this before but I would Zip tie those shelves. If you do those, those shelves become a lot more solid/steady.

I have the same set of drawers. You will find that the heavy weight items on top will warp the top and effect the drawers. Making them difficult to close the drawers

Very very nice! Love the way you have everything set up and easy to get too. I repurpose furniture as well in my small art space. It nice to give things like that a new home. Look forward to seeing what kind of plants you add to your new space. Super happy for you and love you and your art!! Excellent video! Can’t wait for next video!! I’m your biggest fan! ❤️

Creative people live in their right brain. Tasks requiring logical thinking, are best handled by those comfortable in their left brain. So, assembling a set of drawers , a left brain activity, will be challenging , but not impossible for a creative soul

Thank you so much for an inspiring video! My studio is chaos and I find it hard to work. I moved from the US to England and all my 'stuff' is in one room and it's not as roomy as I had before. If we move again I'll try and do it more neatly like your new set up. I have a few questions, with your printer do you use the proper Canon inks or something like refillable or cheaper inks? I know how expensive this can be! Also what big daylight lamp is that you use by the computer? the link was to a different kind of studio photography lamp. I'm going to do some organizing today, feeling inspired now!
@myriamtillson5 жыл бұрын
I use the proper canon inks, the printer is too precious and expensive for me to want to risk anything going wrong with it! I did find a listing on Amazon for the og inks for cheaper than canon sells them though www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009DL0WKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.T6GCbB3NWFVE And unfortunately the light I use on my desk has been discontinued so I couldn't link it, or find it, I'm sorry 😕

I think all artists are hoarders to some extent when it comes to supplies. Art supplies are expensive and you might use them again. You don't want to have to rebuy something you threw away.
