My art/crafts studio is all over the house 😮 I have a large amount in the guest room/my pet parrots bedroom 😆🦜, a large bookshelf full of colored pencils, paints, paint making supplies, coloring books, paper etc in my bedroom, also where my manicure desk and computer desk, and a desk in my husband’s office so times I want to hang out with him, I have a desk in there. I sometimes paint at the dining room table when I want to look out at the sunny backyard. And I tend to color in my coloring books on the sofa. Basically, my whole house is a studio 🤣

Always, always check your diy set instructions and lay them out, sort them out by type and which codes of symbols correlates to which screws (just a tip to have a clear overview) but the essential part that is not as obvious but oh so important if not only for your confidence and self worth because you don’t end up questioning whether it’s done as instructed and you indeed got some spares (because a lot do but definitely not all!) but here it is: COUNT HOW much is provided of everything Love the tour. I need help getting my studio sorted now I finally have one. I moved to a new (rental home) last year, about the same time after loosing my dad after months of intensely exhausting but oh so worth it period of getting some quality time with my terminal dad at the time but anyway, all this meant that I just still need to unpack and organize 😅😂 On top of a huge shopping spree over a coarse of a year and a half a few years ago. I couldn’t restrain myself after never having any money of my own (disabled) and finally getting into some money. So not ideal first to not having as much savings as one should be having just to get through the unforeseen mishaps in life and replacing electronics or furniture when needed on top of all services and such. But it was so satisfying so no regrets there, it’s just something one shouldn’t do for to long (living with a hole in your hand 😂) because now I have too many art supplies to store and part of one of my chronic illnesses makes for very few energy and therefore time and energy to do the household chores ánd do the I want (I’m a totally hobbyist, can’t call myself an artist but “artsy” feels okay 😂 but I’ve always have had far too few possible moments to sketch, paint or whatever), even at a weekly basis for the longest time although I finally seem to have reached the point that I at least get to sketch a teensy tiny bit (if my muscles allow it even then it’s sometimes only 5 minutes but still, for the longest time even that wasn’t possible so felt disconnected from the creative part of myself), mostly multiple times a week so yay 🥳 But all that means that now I do need to get that space organized. I’ve been going back and forward on what to toss (give away or donate) and what to keep, having many many things that hold far too many awesome creative possibilities. I particularly struggle about HOW MUCH to keep from like: old books in several languages, nature’s magazines and street maps, -plans & -books from several places that my mom has gotten from a person unloading a filled car with books and knowing my passion for books both for reading and repurposing some as sketchbooks of all sorts and others as art supply to use on my artwork. Although I do have a studio now, that’s also my library and I love reading all sorts of genres from fantasy to educational books, so by now they take up a lot of space as well (I just had to switch to ebooks but absolutely can’t part with tangible books, had to get used to them but love audiobooks now, luckily those don’t take up as much as they did before digital lol). Doesn’t help keeping tidy if you have lots of hobbies 😅 but I think a lot of others can relate 😆 Suffice it to say, I am way in over my head and need the motivation and inspiration from videos like this one. And far more pondering over what (repurposed as) arts and crafts supplies to keep, having bought a lot from cheap stores all to Daniel Smith watercolor paints and my very, very lucky find at the perfect timing of a clearout of Schmincke Horadam half pans and full pans for 1€ each, most even being full pans 😮 so off course, I now have a generous supplier of some colors, they might be the lesser convenient colors or probably even toxic as the cadmium greens for instance are quite old and don’t say ‘hue’ and of course, we all know how easy it is to accumulate more than the necessary amount of (travel) palettes and such. So I’m far from done and finally getting to the part of enjoying to have and more importantly USE the studio but that is such a luxury problem to have so definitely not complaining. But totally admitting that I do need help and I do have to shift through all I have accumulated and been given (by both acquaintances and strangers, it has been some crazy last few years, like winning the lottery, apart from loosing my dad but even there is a great and unparalleled wealth in that, given the close relationship I was able to have and -seeing first hand how much someone can suffer even into their senior years by suddenly loosing a parent you didn’t have the best relationship with despite all the efforts both parties have put into that relationship- by having had the time to grow even closer, I will never, ever take that knowledge (that I’ve been his pride and joy and have always, always been loved and accepted by him) for granted. So even there is a great richness within that inevitable loss of loosing my dad, as we all have or will loose our parents and such, so not complaining in that either, it’s just what it is and he didn’t deserve to have withered away in a sense in a rapid decline after his diagnosis of ALS but at least he didn’t have to fight several cancers for 15 years like his mother so if I can choose, I’ll take the ALS,it’s ultimately the same amount of suffering (in both my experiences of watching them go through their version of said diseases) but condensed into 6 months, at least it’s quick). Sorry, might be a depressing sidenote but I felt the need to explain so this comment doesn’t take a “I’m mourning/sorry for your loss” vibe but rather a complete “life is hectic but despite it’s curveballs -and sometimes because of them-, I now am preparing for a huge cleanout/organization and making more art” vibe ❤ Wasn’t finished with the vido yet, so for me, on to my favorite part: all the watercolor palettes!

You have created a very inviting studio to make art. I have a dining room table which has some see through boxes on it organized by type of materials. It’s not great but it’s temporary until I set up my basement work office into an art space. Something I have been avoiding.I love that you put together your ‘I’m a survivor cabinet” by yourself. I put together two bookcases once and concluded never again would I put myself through the torture and frustration. Have fun creating in your space.

Great tour! My studio, which is just a corner of my family room, is organized but cluttered. Probably a case of too many art supplies, but I don't care! 🙉 Back when I thought I was just going to get into crafting instead of learning how to draw/paint, I bought a Tim Holtz glass mat for my desk. And honestly, it's been one of the best purchases I've made. It's super easy to clean up when doing messy watercolor pan pouring, and even has a spot that can be used as a quick palette for mixing when needed.

Thank you so much for showing us your studio. When I was watching your videos I was always wondering how your studio was organised, because you have so much materials. I don’t have a room for studio, so I have created my studio area in my living room. I have used one entire wall of my living room for the studio, so I’m always on the lookout for practical and beautiful storage solutions. Although I don’t have as much materials as you do, but I do need to keep everything easy to get, yet it doesn’t disturbs the rest of the room, which is quite challenging. 😂😂😂 It’s good to have some ideas from other artists. Maybe one day I will show my area. Now, I would love to win the Arrtx set, because I would give it to my daughter, she has been asking me for this exact set. 😊🤞. Thank you for sharing your space. Love that easel and the beautiful painting on it! It was the finishing touch of your studio. I enjoyed seeing how you organized everything. Me? I need a hot cowboy to come wrangle up all my art supplies that got loose in the wild and seem to multiply when I'm not looking. 😂 That way I can keep painting and get some eye candy every once in awhile. I wanna buy a light tablet. I had one but I dind use it so i sold it for 90 euro,s and i am have gretts of selling it😢it was a good light table the brand was from huion. But my local budget craft store sells the too so myby i buy a cheaper one. I love you,re art suplies👋🏾😁👍🏾 thank you,please spread gods love. I pray for you and everyone who needs it. i have a small 1 bedroom apt,i call it my art studio .my pantry is full of boxes of acrylics ,i get them in bulk on amazon,my watercolors are every where ,under the bed in an otoman,my table is so full i cant even see it but im so grateful for everything i have,i have been painting since 1995 i was 36 ,im 64 now and paint daily,i would love to get etcher books they are to pricey for me,looks like we both love the same art supplies ,thank you

Hurrah, I love studio tour videos! You also have the super vision paints! I ordered them recently too! Love the art supplies you have, I have quite a lot of it too and it feels so great when I see familiar stuff in your supply. But at the same time you have more stuff (and space!) so I feel less bad about having so much stuff! :P I also already have the arrtx color pencils so I’ll skip that giveaway. Hey your space is already way neater than mine, and i’m the same, I like to have everything within reach, the only problem is that there is not enough space ‘within reach’ 😅 Chopping board! I love how you set up your art studio. Mine is still a work in progress, but it's coming along. It's small so I have to plan my storage carefully and make the best use of the space I've got. I'm currently looking for something like the drawer thingy you put together. I actually enjoy putting things like that together. I feel very satisfied afterwards. 😁 I'm not sure what model printer you have, but it looks similar to my Epson WF-7820 which I LOVE. Best printer I've ever had. BTW, get the metal rolling cart (trolly?) thingy. I love mine. ❤

I should have a way to display more of my art supplies as I tend to use them more when I see them. Colors inspire me. But ngl I barely have the time to make art so leaving everything out would need more cleaning 😪

I don’t have many paintings that are A3, usually work up to A4 or only slightly larger, however the plastic folio I have is A2 size (I share it quickly before the book case at the end of the video). The chest of drawers can’t fit A3 comfortably, the paper would curl/ it’s about half a centimetre too short). But there are bigger sizes available xx

Those meedan drawers are the best. I have two sets of the six drawers. I keep my gansai and watercolor pans in one, and I just pull out the drawer I need. They seem to make really good art furniture. I wish I had some of their other products.

I have the same 10-tray Meeden drawer set and LOVE it. However, I do wish the drawers were just slightly deeper so they would open/close more smoothly. However, I think it's a beautiful way to store supplies. I have some brushes in the top drawer, pencils/fine liners/Pitt pens in 2 drawers and the rest are tubes of watercolour, sorted by colour. As for your set of white drawers, I have something almost identical that I also struggled to assemble myself. I've had it several years and over time have forgotten the pain of assembly lol. Mine was slightly worse to assemble because it has a fold down desk surface with an extra rolling leg.

Now I've watched the entire video. Fantastic studio tour!! I have a dedicated craft room in my house, but I don't have my painting supplies there, it was already full of other crafts (scrapbooking, paper crafts, cross stitch, cookie decorating supplies etc). I have a set of shelves in my office where I store supplies and my drawers with the fold-down desk is in a corner of our family room. So my work areas are neat. Some day I may rearrange my craft room and change it into more of an art studio for painting.

Sadly, I don’t have a dedicated art studio. I usually end up at the kitchen table or sketching on the couch. I have a large rolling cart that I keep most of my supplies in.

Wow so lovely. You have beautiful collections of things. I too love my room lol I have a room which is 5x4 metres. I have 5 wall cabinets each has 4 large drawers and the upper sections are shelves. They are about 1.8 mt high. They were also flat packs I had to build. What a nightmare. 2 of them are full of art supplies and sketchbooks and paper. The other 2 are full of quilting supplies. The last one is just random things not art related. I have a large book shelf for art books and also a huge wall unit for more books and my tarot card collection. In all of that I have a piano, my sewing machine cabinet and large table in the middle of the room. It’s relatively tidy when I don’t have projects on the go lol I love being in there. I have fairy lights on wall shelves ad burn incense so it smells nice.

I don't have an art studio just yet. My second bedroom is already taken up by work office and my music studio. But I do have a handmade table given to me be a friend that I can scoot up to the couch and a little metal cart with all my art supplies! It's working well for me so far. :)

I love those drawers! Shallow drawers are imperative for art supplies, to me! I put pencils and pastels in mine. I never thought of paint tubes. 🤔

They work great / flawlessly for 5mL tubes, okay for 10-15mL tubes if the cap isn't too big x
