Love your video! It would be nice to have some examples of surprises of the world or methods on how you expose the audience to your worlds. How do you know if something makes sense and how vague can you really be with mature audience? What is too vague etc.

Both the surprises and the methods of exposing them can be a pretty big spectrum of possibilities. I think the main thing is have fun with it. For example a character learning about a new ability (or a "rule" with their abilities); my character Penelope learns early on that she can bring her friend into dreams with her, and I tried to make that exciting both for the characters and for the readers. Another fun thing you can play with is that your characters can make assumptions about the "rules" or nature of their own abilities, and then turn out to be completely wrong! As far as what's too vague, I think that's really up to your intentions. You don't want to be so obtuse with the details that nobody can decipher what's going on, but you don't want to spoon-feed a mature audience, either. One thing that I do; I like to hide things in the imagery of my comics. Some of them are extremely hard to spot even if you're actively looking for them. But I also include some that are easy to spot, just to kind of trigger that part of the reader's mind and let them know that there are things like this to look for. If you're ever unsure, give your book or script to some people you trust and then ask them questions about it. See how they interpret it. Did they figure out your clues, or did they go off in another direction? etc. I hope this helps!
