You've literally completely changed the game for me when it comes to my painting approach. Building up a massive Space Wolves army, and I will be applying so many of the techniques I've picked up from you to paint up my army. Your "Let's Get Chilly" tutorial was a breakthrough for me. I will be applying exactly those same methods for painting Ragnar Blackmane, Haldor Icepelt, my Rune and Iron Priests, my tanks, dreadnoughts, Drop Pod, etc. Just picked up three of these Reaper Bones shipping containers today. About to start painting them, but I want to go for a different color, maybe industrial orange....would this same method apply? Starting with warm brown tones at the bottom, and working up to muted orage colors followed by some brighter orange-ish highlights? I would so much appreciate hearing back from you on this. Thanks in advance brother. Much love. You do great work, inspiring and extremely helpful.

Hey dude, wow, thank you so much for the kind words, that's absolutely awesome, so glad you're finding things useful :). 100% - Purple and warm orange brown through orange to yellow highlights would be perfect, you can go with any base colour really depending on what you want to achieve... a lot of what I do starts cool and finished warmer though, big love

Hi there, I just watched the azyrite ruin video where you paint the building in green tones. I’m considering painting 40K buildings in yellow following this video color guide. I was wondering how you approach multi floors buildings. Would you highlight a 3 floors structure as one element, or as 3 independent horizontal panels? I’m afraid that making it a unique structure would make the lower part very dark. Thanks beforehand! ( and still hoping the red scorpions tutorial..;) ) Nicolas
@ArtisOpus
@ArtisOpus 4 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, I'd take an overall top to bottom approach, you can also add some dusting in corners and recesses/toward the bottom, which looks amazing with 40k stuff :)
@ArtisOpus
@ArtisOpus 4 жыл бұрын
(the weathering is a great way to avoid the bottom being too dark, and add interest)
