I changed from an Epson printer to a canon ipg 1000. However, I have a lot of Epson legacy and fine art paper. Is there a source for .icc profiles other than having a custom .icc made? Thanks, Gary

I would inquirer on printing forum or Facebook group for Epson paper profile with canon printer. Or sell off your paper on ebay / fb market place or something. Other than that you are looking at making custom profiles yourself, which would yield better results anyway.

@@ArtIsRight Is the Calibrite studio spectrometer an excellent product to purchase. I have an Eizo cs 2730 monitor with its own EX3 spectrometer. Will the calibrite spectrometer work with the Eizo. Or can I continue to use the Eizo spectrometer for the monitor and the Calibrite spectrometer to produce the .ICC profiles for the fine art paper. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Gary

EX3 is a colorimeter and not spectrophotometer. ccStudio being part of the simplified solution from Calibrate will not work with Eizo software. I would continue to use the colorimeter that you have for Eizo and you use ccStudio device and software for paper.

Hi art i want to reinstall my windows pc and i want to backup my paper profile i created using x-rite ccStudio. And then restore it back after PC upgrade. So that when i open ccStudio it should show all saved profiles.
@ArtIsRight11 ай бұрын
you can back up and restore the profiles but for ccStudio to see it, I'm not sure

Hello, Art. Do you have an idea why everytime i try to use a paper profile (same result using PS or Qimage Ultimate), the colors just seem to be like a bad awful colourful preset? Using Printer manage colors i get a good result (it makes the oranges pup, i don´t like this but it is my only option for now). I am using a Benq Pt2700 and it was calibrated with PME 8, Adobe RGB (not worked in Panel native). Monitor looks fine, i think there is a problem with profiles (i have been everything printing groups do). So maybe in your experience you know why this can be happening. Thank you for your help and great videos. I have almost seen them all.

Great video, Art. Once you have a calibrated Adobe RGB monitor you do want to use high-quality fine art papers to produce exquisite museum-quality prints. BTW, 'love Canson and the other European papers.

Thank you, I like that their paper have not optical brightener. The ones that do have a tendency to change hue over time.
@williamborges39144 жыл бұрын
@@ArtIsRight Indeed, optical brighteners are a major problem for print longevity. If you haven't become familiar with Freestyle Photographic Supplies in Los Angeles, you might want to check them out. They are a BenQ dealer. But, the important thing is their Senior Vice President, Eric Joseph, is a leading authority on digital printing, critical-tolerance color management, and the matching of specific images to specific papers and other media to achieve amazing artistic results. Although COVID-19 has put the kibosh on his free seminar series for now, the website has tons of material on high quality digital printing media: www.freestylephoto.biz/Inkjet/seminars and www.freestylephoto.biz/static/pdf/catalogs/fs_creative_imaging_catalog.pdf

I think most people don't have that, I don't either. You can shoot E6, process, scan and generate an icc from it. But that is a lot of effort for this, the question is, if it is worth it.
