The reason why I really like you is that apart from the fact that you are an amazing artist and I love your work, I feel like you are very genuine! You never try to push products on your audience, your story resonated with me in various aspects and you prefer to make art for you and then share it with others rather than making art for others. I am like that too and I really respect this! Thank you for sharing all this information with us! I wish you health (above all) and I’m very proud of you and how far you’ve come! You deserve every bit of happiness and wealth; your work ethic is unmatched! Lots of love from rainy Greece❤ I’ll go make some art now too ✨

Thank you so much for the kind words and the well-wishes! I'm doing much better now. ❤ While I do get excited about products - be it art supplies or a new lamp 😂 - sometimes, I really want to focus this channel on creating art. Getting to finally paint my own stuff at the end of the day is what this is for, and I'm so happy if that experience resonates! It was interesting to look back at the last few years, so in a way, even videos like this teach me something about myself or my process. 😊

Your videos truly are art pieces by themselves. It is incredibly challenging to create videos with the vibe you manage to capture. Because it gives me as a viewer a sense of indulgance in art and it awakens my own creative itch, while for you all the technical stuff (angles, lighting, footage, editing, yt shizzl) may feel oceans away from the feeling that drawing and painting gives you. Your art is fabulous! Many blessings 💫

Thank you so much!! It's often so hard to tell if I captured the video how I wanted - I'm still experimenting a lot, and filming and editing really art artforms. Maybe all that freelance work on storyboards actually came in handy, after all, as I feel like I'm getting the hang of telling stories like this. ❤

Please. Can we have a more thorough look at your sketchbooks? I'd really like to see all of them, page by page, with enough time to have a good look at each drawing or painting. You flipping through them so fast is a bit tantalizing...😍😉
@evydraws-art7 күн бұрын
And here I was worried that I was showing my sketchbooks for too long, as I always think they're a bit boring to look at 😅 I did film a more detailed sketchbook flipthrough here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZfJZ6R8eMdmjcU Though I might try and film a page-by-page voiceover video for the new year! Thank you so much 🥰

@@evydraws-art boring?🤣🤣🤣🤣. I especially love your portraitdrawings. You keep saying it's over 80, in this one little book. And now I'm dying to see them all. I love peoples sketchbooks. I often find the sea of ideas even more fascinating then the finished pieces. And yours I Iove especially.

@@evydraws-artI agree with @SusanneMeerkatz and I honestly think, that your Sketchbooks could be sold as Art Books. It is super fascinating to see the process of other artists, see the developmental Sketches and I just love the look of Sketches and drawings, and yours are really beautifuk and intriguing. And wie can‘t be the only ones who love looking through sketchbooks- seeing all the flip throughs on KZbin and formats of art Books like drawing from the imagination by 3Dtotal :) maybe this is something to think about for you, it would be beneficial to us and you as well, I‘m pretty sure :)

Never by sorry for making a long video. Your journey is fascinating, your story very interesting, I for one love to hear you talk about this story, because it's something totally different from what I do, and have experience with. It takes courage to get out of your comfort zone so much, to risk being not that financialy stable and to have to be so creative in how to make money. Story time is amazing, I'm all in it if you want to make more of it.
@evydraws-art7 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! ❤ It did get quite long to edit and my PC was complaining, so maybe that's why I was extra worried about the video length. :') It really is a bit scary, and I still do marketing/commercial storyboarding to have that financial security... I'm very risk-averse by nature!

Thank you for your honest and vulnerable videos. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back to your channel. I adore your art, of course, but it's your gentle storytelling that resonates with me most.

Thank you - it's the storytelling, and actually having time for it instead of 10 seconds, that keeps making me come back to YT videos. ❤ So that's wonderful to read!

Thank you for such a great q&a! Since I found your channel, I was mesmerised by your art and it is so great you decided to share it here. I also absolutely love the what you said about using youtube for showing the art, not making art for youtube. It feels like a big portion of art community and art in general is made for showcasing and not just for the sake of creating art. Awaiting you sharing your further projects and your paintings~~ Also, really love James Gurney, he has an amazing youtube channel, very warm and welcoming

Thank you so much for the kind words. And when it comes to KZbin... that might also be because filming actual art process videos takes forever, and can get in the way of the painting process, so even I feel tempted to instead film more "KZbin-ish" content like flipthroughs or packaging processes as simpler alternatives. But then actually sharing my art process feels so rewarding...! 🥰 And yes, James Gurney's books and channel are amazing resources!

You are great. Actually I found that the old channels I follow lost the art part a little and yours is fresh air for me. Also very soothing. I have a normal job and I can paint only a little in the weeks and kind of tire me down, but I need a job so I can't leave everything for my love. So I really enjoy to see you work and talk about your progress ❤

Thank you for the kind comment ♥️ The illustration field, especially the side I'm familiar with, seems to have become even tougher over the last couple years... so I'm glad to have other sides to my art now, too! After Dracula, I felt an urge for shiny, sparky, colorful art! :D

It's here! I've been looking forward to this video. Very interesting from start to finish and I enjoyed the entire video. It did not feel long to me at all! I had admired your over the shoulder video shots, but I definitely struggled with bumping into my setup back when I used to have my tripod next to me, too. I've used an overhead setup for a while now and it is so nice to not have to worry about hitting it, so I'm definitely feeling your comments. Which video software do you use for editing your videos? I really appreciate your candid and open thoughts about the past few years, and I'm very glad to hear that you are in a better place now with your art (and I hope your health as well!). I think it shows in your art and your videos as well. The mermaid painting turned out really beautiful. I love the color shift from reds to turquoise/green. And I really like that her face kinda looks mature, but also ageless. I also enjoyed the look at your previous sketchbooks. I can recognize a lot of characters from Lord of the Rings, and you really have a talent for capturing likeness. I feel that I used to draw from imagination much more often when I was younger (and a lot less skilled), and it often feels like I lost this as I got older. Seeing your art really makes me want to give some creative fantasy illustrations a try again.

A very interesting, inspiring video😊As someone else said earlier in the comments, is it possible to see the works in your sketchbooks in more detail? Because those drawings are just incredible, I want to look at them better and enjoy them longer. Of course, if you're comfortable with that, because I know that a sketchbook is a very personal thing♥️
