How the hell would that help when it is STREAMED? You think it would be better if artosis have to sit and fake comment everything when it is completely obvious to him who is the phantom? If someone watches the stream it ruins the match and there's no way around it. Oh yeah one actually if it wasn't streamed at all. Great solution. People just have to not watch the stream.

@@ottojagenstedt9740 You literally dont know what are you talking about guy in the chat - Everybody is allied and everybody got vision so the thing is to play early on as a phantom quite normal like you wouldn't have extra resources because you will be exposed too soon, let the other kill themselfs.

It doesn't help if you think artosis shouldnt be able to watch, comment or stream it at all, guy on youtube. It would work kind of if everything was hidden also for him as an observer.

they tried it but it was too OP. It becomes 1 phantom for 3 normal. its too east for the phantoms to win.

in that case try Phantom Darkness, it removes vision early on and it has some other plot twists

I think they definitely improved on the formula with the Starcraft 2 version. Two Phantoms with massive boosts like this one, but there are also two Paladins who get a small boost to their economy. Phantoms know who each other are, Paladins don't. The regular players know who neither are. So many times players kill Paladins thinking they're a Phantom. If I was a Phantom no one suspected me, but I always died as a regular player for macroing normally as if I was laddering.

That could be an issue, yeah. Phantom can block off entrance completely from scout and rush a whole infrastructure in there. Only way to know is to scout early with overlord. This way the non-phantoms has a chance to build a force/defence

Half the game is talking to each other through chat and trying to figure out who the phantom is (or get the non-phantoms to fight each if you're the phantom).

when im phantom as protoss i just make 20 gateways and mass zealots and send 8 zealots per person it usually works to kill most players early esp if they didnt wall up its very effective, then switch to speed zealots/dragoons with arbiters

They can't see each others mineral charts only the builds they do. So if you are the phantom, deflect suspicion and wait till there are only 3 or 4 players left and then spring the trap!! Lay low until you're ready to go!! Works every time.

Red should have went scouts and corsair on air since money/gas isnt an issue. Carrier is terrible against aa units. And his lack of ground units is shocking also.

This sounds like an interesting idea, but you could just hit the Phantom with too many weird attacks at once. So you get DTs combined with say cloaked wraiths and red archons and ghosts and lock down. No player could fend of all of those types of attacks at once even with infinite resources.

The key is to make them fight each other if you get busted with to many players alive you are busted

Oj pretty suspicious but Red did make himself conspicuous because of the supply leaderboard. I don't know if everyone had vision or not but if they don't I would go hard on hiding upgrades and tech and making lots of cannons. Sow suspicion on whoever I could I guess. Would like to see more of this, but I guess you'd have to stream a replay of it to ruleout snipes which kind of sucks.

there's no point in hiding u're the phantom. if you wait, you can't even exploit ur extra minerals because you're still supply blocked at 200 and by the time you come out all the others will be at around 120/150. no way you win with 200 psi against 5-6 players massing at least 800 psi. you have to be really good and start killing people on the start while they cannot defend yet, while teching up and being always a tier above the others. that being said, phantom can only win if the majority of the other players are noobs.

Artosis wondered in the stream if a Dark Archon mind controls a unit that the upgrade are lost. Quite the opposite: If you are protoss and steal another protoss you get all the upgrades and spells this unit has for all your units. If you are at 0 0 0 air and take control of a 3 3 3 you get those for free.

He was telling the stream that you don't inherit numerical upgrades from the player you stole the unit from, and he is correct; you only inherit unique upgrades such as psi storm. Any upgrades for shields/weapons/armour will be set to whatever you have researched. You can easily confirm this by firing up a custom game, or just checking liquipedia.

Capital ships are good in a 1v1. Against 1vs all? They suck balls. You want mass numbers that cant be dented easily by destroying a few units. Red shouldve definitely gone the good all gateway units with arbiter. With the occasional reaver/templar drop
