I would like to share a thing. In the north east India, there's a desert recipe made of rice flour. The making process of rice flour is same as I remember my granny doing, except here we have a special instrument called, "dheki" which we use for making any kind of flour in bulk. And when I started watching worldwide content, Garaetteok and tteokbokki and mochi makes me think of that desert from my homeland, I hated on a lot and called it intemidating and boring, and stuff. Because of internet, I learned how important it is to love foods that you grew up eating. I love watching it and I will love trying it at home. ❤️
@sakillla5 жыл бұрын
For those who is wondering does this recipe works, I have tried it and it works! But you have to grind the rice until it is very fine and powdery, which takes a lot of time for me and my food processor. You also have to make sure that you don't overcooked it in the steamer, or you will get a very hard dough. Other than that, it was a success and it tastes very GOOD! Not like many other recipes that has flour after taste, this one taste just like the one I buy in the restaurant!

i don't know what i do wrong please help, i use normal rice flour and when im making the dough it looks exactly the same as this, but when i cook it and eat it it sticks to my teeth and mouth ??' it's supposed to do that?

Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES from hell❗️ *What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Not to mention that we have been making rice cakes for thousands of years. Earliest mention of Korean rice cakes can be found in the royal Korean cook book dating back 400 B.C. And it’s very natural that multiple cultures could invent something simultaneously or at various times without contact with each other. Especially a simple product such as rice cakes that uses 3 basic ingredients - rice, salt, and water

For people saying this is our recipe, you copied us, here’s a few things to be noted: 1. No food is truly ours. ( like how no one knows the true origin of noodles. You can google it out.) 2. All cultures have similarities. ( like how we have Navarathri and the Japanese have the doll festival or like how we have Pongal and the Koreans have a similar harvest festival) If you meant those as a joke then fine, nice one. If not, I suggest you actually learn world history properly for once. Good day~💜 BTW I’m also Tamil but I love cultural diversity, so yeah....

So did people just pound the rice into a powder before food processors? Kinda like how mochi is made? You see food processors used a lot in modern Korean cooking which makes me feel for people in the past!
@LenaTate5 жыл бұрын
Strawberry Cupcake exactly. Ppl had to grind this stuff by hand before electricity 😭
@samellis16755 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% certain but I'm fairly sure this can be made by steaming the rice grains and then pounding it, although I might be thinking about a different type of rice cake. Definitely still a lot of work but I wouldn't imagine it to be as hard as grinding before steaming.
@MinttMeringue5 жыл бұрын
@@samellis1675 I think the pounding method is for mochi - it's softer and easier to mash lol. But maybe that was involved with these too!

First of all ithu try panni irukereengala? It's not even close to a kozhakatta, you use this for curries... so please don't try to claim as if they 'copied' a tamil dish cause they didn't, it's extremely offenive towards their culture.

Tamtam Gulmatico From what I could tell, you could probably use rice flour to speed up the process. Asian rice flour (I think uses) short grain rice and therefore you could literally use it.
