despite having only played 3 months, you've explained the ground rules of economy and ship designs very well. Looking forward to the next episode!

If any of you are thinking of getting the game, keep your fingers crossed - the game currently has some graphics texture memory usage issues and could crash frequently. The devs were busy over the last month pushing out stability patches but yeah play now at your own risk. But if you don’t have crashing issues, and you have a decent rig then this is a great game, every play through can be different according to your start up settings, and considering this game is being programmed by two people, I’d say it’s amazing work.

This is great, looking forward to learning more about this game. Always enjoy how you analyze things and take the time to explain the why. Thanks for what you do.

This is what I've been looking for in a lets play. Good explanations from someone who knows the game. Most every other let's play I've found is from the pre-release/release window where no one knew too much. Also been a LONG time since I've watched Arumba, I've missed your voice man.

I was considering getting that game and with this playthrough / explanation of the mechanics, I might just pull the trigger. Thanks Arumba !

This video explained economy and ship building better than all of tutorials i've been watching!

Great videos. The point about negative cash flow impacting growth and research is a good one. For research it can be partially offset with the crash research program which you pay from your cash balance rather than your cash flow amount.

I am frankly looking for another gamer like Arumba, who is meticulous and cares about numbers. It is tragic that Arumba does not play Paradox games anymore.

Private sector don't build more ships if you make them cheaper, the number of ships is hard capped based on some formula, so the optimal play is to make the most expensive efficient ships, so don't fill them up with expensive modules, but pick the modules that give the most efficiency, then pad them with expensive stuff and you still won't accept that the demand system limits how mucha trader can carry, not how much cargo the ship has. Even with just a single cargo module, most ships will run below full most of the time. Working on getting private sector money into your hand is how the game works currently and I really doubt it will ever change.

Could you explain please, why do you put a Command Center on mostly every type of a ship? It's not a requirement, definitely, and I don't quite understand what it does on a construction ship, for example.

Appreciate the vids but it would be awesome if the vids were longer or maybe multiple uploads a day. I know I'm greedy.
