15:20 after adding the 'Anchor Point' above 'Invert', I can't add that 'Anchor 'Point in the fill layer by clicking on "grayscale', because the 'Anchor Points' tab is greyed out and unselectable :( Did you do something behind the scenes, like delete the previous anchor points?
@arvidurs
@arvidurs 3 жыл бұрын
this should work as I'm showing - I didn't do anything behind the scenes, that would be weird :) Make sure you are in the masking section in both layers
@ObscureHedgehog
@ObscureHedgehog 3 жыл бұрын
@@arvidurs Ohhh I figured out what the problem was! I was following directly from the previous chapter (Add High-Quality Mesh Details) which involved anchor points. In the chapter right after that (Dynamic Layer Reveal Effects), you had changed some things and removed the previous anchor points. I followed along without knowing what exactly changed, and only deleted some of the things so it resembled yours, so the previous anchor points which were left behind were still being read by some of the layers, without the original anchor point, which caused the one you used in this chapter to become disabled.

It's so unfortunate to see what a soulless ghoul of corporation like Adobe will do with an universally loved and carefully built software. Cheap and dated new logos, adobe integration and some gigs on creative cloud. I wish Adobe could have left Substance more or less autonomous like Epic did with Quixel(we even got free assets for use in UE out of the deal). Previous substance users get nothing from this buyout.
