Not sure how does it matter who (religion, caste), how and where you do marriage ceremony - all that is needed is two adults securing their respective marriage licenses that is essentially proof of identity, age, residency and any previous marriage records that ended in divorce or death of previous spouse and I would think any kids from previous marriage(s) and having one witness to sign the document.

This is nothing new! This has been both the law & the norm for a long time! One _can_ get married in the Arya Samaj way but then one _has_ to register one's marriage! Registration of births, deaths & marriages is mandatory as per the law for decades in this nation! Also, interfaith couples cannot get married via any manner of the Hindu Marriage Act -- they need to go via the Special Marriage Act route. Again, a decades old & well-established law! The only thing is that if someone from one faith wishes to convert to another, then they need to do that legally. An Arya Samaj marriage cannot be understood to be in lieu of a legal conversion! And that's the thing that courts are enforcing -- a legal & rational law! What's wrong with that?!?! Your mischaracterization of the whole issue lends me to believe 2 things: a) You actually don't understand the issues; and b) You're simply trying to sensationalize, create outrage by your misreporting! The current legal provisions are sane, rational, compassionate & logical! And the courts are simply enforcing them! Stop spreading misinformation!!
