Thanks for the low down. I was thinking about buying a used mobile amplifier and would never have considered the need to check the battery life.

I bought a Jackery and it lasted 18 months in mixed use. They are not responsive to their warranty questions.

That sucks. I really have a feeling that most of these units aren’t going to give us all the cycles or lifespan they promise. Turns out most Battery management systems only balance when charging by slightly lowering the current going to the highest state of charge cells. My theory is they don’t use the highest quality batteries and they have mismatched self discharge rates. I didn’t explain it real well in the video but my ideas of use it or lose it is that we need to regularly use these products to keep the packs well enough balanced to be reliable for us. All this holding a charge for years talk is only true with the highest quality cells. I have a cpap battery that I is as a phone and tablet charger leading to charging it up every couple of weeks. It’s too soon to know if this will help but in a few years if it is still functional I might be able to say I’m on to something.

Do you think an india owned company is behind all the marketing of these taking advantage of an American rightwing buzz word and clever pandemic marketing? Or maybe smart American capitalists? I wouldn't be surprised if Eastern engineers consider themselves far better skilled at engineering than US engineers, even when they engineer junk. Its probably what their managers want them to engineer, junk. If there could only be laws against such. Price point and supply-n-demad are not working to insure quality. Middle-class and budget conscious bargin shopper Americans just like to shop for volume, not quality. Upper class won't tolerate bad quality and will stop payment on both junk and poor service, probably because they understand the racket first hand.
