I like using the cleaning broom brush type. Only problem is they always leak at the fittings. But they work best in my opinion. Just make sure to clean any sand out of the brush if you’ve got a mint paint job.

I now spray on with this then use a soft bristle broom. Then hose off. But as you say make sure no sand is in the broom
