Young man, it’s such a great thing to share your portion of history. You should get your facts right. Your portion of the Asanteman story is completely distorted just like your Dormaa chief. There’s undeniable fact that all towns which formed a confederacy of Asante were vassals to the then Denkyera hene, Ntim Gyakari. Kwaman was the biggest in size of all the towns which united to become Asanteman. There was nothing like Asanteman before Dormaa, then residents at now Suntreso, attacked Kwaman, Offinso which used to be at now Suame and then Agona closer by now Tafo. They were all small towns serving Denkyera. The first Asante king was Osei Tutu and his friend Okomfo Anokye who was the architect of the Asanteman confederation. Nana Obiri-Yeboah was the Kwaman hene who wanted to start the Asanteman Confederacy. As Nana Obiri-Yeboah, Nana Dwamena Akenten, and Komfo Yamoah, then king of Agona met to discuss the possibilities of forming a confederacy, Dormaa who felt threatened by THE UNITY IS STRENGTH efforts being made by these kings, they were attacked unprepared by the Dormaa warriors. Now, after the death of Obiri Yeboah and Osei Tutu ascended the throne, what happened to the Dormaa people? The newly formed Asanteman confederation led by king Osei Tutu the first waged a fierce battle against the Dormaa people. The defeat of Dormaa was used as sharpening stone to face Denkyera. It is not true the Asantes killed Dormaa Kusi and no king of Dormaa was beheaded. It is only Dormaa people who beheaded Obiri Yeboah but you guys keep lying that it is not true that Obiri Yeboah was beheaded but rather the Asantes beheaded the king of Dormaa which you and I know it is a false History you have. You need to update what you know I can volunteer to give you guys a copy of the original history written by the whites in the 1700s. The Asantes have re-written this history making people to forget the true History. Tell us how many times did Dormaa and Kwaman fight and how many times did Dormaa win? When all the Asante states came together and they fought the Dormaa people at Suntreso which brought the defeat of the Dormaa People. Dormaa fought Kwaman for 6 times the Dormaa people won all these wars.

Let's get our foundations right. 1. Asante is really not a tribe but a group of Akans formed to fight against the suppression of the Denkyiras, the fellow Akans. 2. Dormaa fought and defeated Kwaman severally before Asante was formed. 3. Dormaa has never defeated the Asante group. 4. Dormaa is NOT Bono. Until 1958 the Aduanas in current Dormaa were called Wamfour until Agyemang Badu the first decided to change it to Dormaa and joined Techiman to from Bono Kyempem group, a separatist from Asante. 5. Techiman chief pursued the case to the queen Elizabeth but wasn't successful. 6. Following 5 above Techiman still remain part of the Asante and currently is occupying the nkoranza traditional land after being defeated at Bono Manso. 7. Dormaa joining Techiman to separate from Asante etc does not make them Bonos.. 8. Check the maps on google the Asante empire and Asante Kingdom occupy all these areas. 9. Indeed Dogombas, Mamprusis, Moshies, nzemas etc became and still part of Asante and hold traditional rights and responsibilities in Manhyia. 10. The persistent tension between Dormaa and Kwaman was because the Aduanas that settled at Suntreso disrupted efforts by Kwaman to form the group and reported same to Denkyira, thus leading to several fights.

Thanks for your comment yes Dormaa people settled in Suntreso but the are not Asantes. More so, the Dormaa Kusi was not a king of Dormaa but he was a warrior who lead most of the wars. He was a son of a king. That is the true history but since most people have re-written the history just suite the Asante so people who don't research will always defend the fake history if someone tries to tell them the true one. I recommend for to go and read the history book that was written by professor Adu Boahen and you will know that most of the Dormaa Hene is saying is the truth. The second war was in 1949 and the Techiman people conquered Nana Prempeh of the Asante .

If we look at Dormaa history they're not Bono people the real Bono people are Techiman, because Dormaa came from Akwamu to Nsawam to Obo Kwaku to Kumasi suntresu until they were defeated by the United Ashanti kingdom and they flew to Wamfia. 2.. why did the Dormaa people run to Ivory coast and they later beg the Asantehene to let them come back to their present town. 3..Berekum are Ashantis, it's was Dr Kwame Nkrumah who divided Ashanti region into two the Ashanti region and Bono Ahafo region, don't deceive your viewers. If you look at critically the Dormaa people are not Bono people they came from Akwamu, And they made different stops in many places before their present day settlement.
