I couldn’t find the 133x and wound up getting the 128x because it was available. Same YakPower system but not rigged for the trolling motor. No front motor mount but the same rear mount as the 133x. It’s a little shorter and a little bit narrower but it’s also lighter. It’s a tank too but I really like how it paddles. I need to build a mount and PWM speed control for my Newport Vessels trolling motor. But right now New Mexico is on fire and most of the major bodies of water that I’d kayak on are being used for air drops on fires. I believe that I’ll stay out of their way! You should see the wake that those aircraft kick up when they’re scooping up a load of water!

Yea I feel the same after putting the money I’ve put into mine. I run the exact same setup. Like exactly except I got the 55 lb thrust power drive. It’s totally a pain in the ass so when I go out I pack a lunch for sure.

Dude.......Just bought one today. People....this guy knows it and those who have seen it......Its a monster. Great set-up. Good thinking man....shining buttons away from eyes. I like the idea of mounting the buttons facing forward from midsection box. Listing up.....I bought a black oil drain pan...Walfart..cut top out...leave 1/2" around....make cutting board style lid to fit for extra semi-dry storage.

This is no heavier than the Sportsman 136 and I built a cart for it that makes transport a breeze. If you are struggling with your trailer then buy a used jet ski trailer as I did and re-rig it. I see a lot of people that dump money into a kayak then throw it on a POS trailer that is not made for hauling a kayak and then complain it moves around. It would be like hauling your Ranger bass boat on a car hauling trailer. Wrong tool for the job. Good video though. Love the riggings on the lights.

I appreciate your honesty about it being a pain to onload / offload and the seat being jenky. I think the more features I want in a kayak, the more I realize I should just get a normal boat with a trailer, lol...

Honestly...yeah. A trailered boat is 100 times easier. I already sold this set up and went to a Perception Outlaw 11.5

@@dakotafalz19 My first kayak (a Perception Sport 12) weighed 65 lbs and was manageable getting on / off my J cradle roof rack. My second kayak (a pedal drive Perception Pescador Pilot) weighed 85 lbs. I didn't think the extra 20 lbs would be much of a difference until I was struggling to press it overhead last summer and used my head to support the weight. Ended-up compressing a vertebrae in my neck and had a pinched nerve for several months that made my neck feel like it was on fire. Sometimes, stuff that looks cool is actually a giant pain-in-the-a...

Awesome lighting. It be cool if you could put I don’t know some kind of light on the outside of it below the waterline so you were landing at fish lake fishing for catfish you flip them on so you can see what you’re doing ,plus it makes the water look really cool! Kind of space shipeey!!! OK I’m really really glad I watch this video because I was just getting ready to pull the trigger but I have a bad back got two rods and four screws, infusion at two levels..... I just thought it be really cool to have the space to take the dog with me throw it on top of the car drive up to Lake throat and like go have some fun. But you just rained on that parade. LoL. Thanks for the Reality check!!!!!!🙏

Check out Fishin’ n Stuff KZbin channel! He’s got tons of diy projects for boats, kayaks and fishing in general, including a very nice light that you drop over the side to attract baitfish! It’s made of pvc pipe and waterproof led strips. It’s amazing how well it lights up the water under your water craft! My kayak glows underneath when I toss it out!

Okay. Great video. I watched it a few times before I made my purchase. My question to whoever is how do you install the transducer in the scupper underneath to where you can hide wires? I don’t want my wires to run across deck. I purchased a thru hull kit so from my fish finder I can run the wires in hull but how would I expose them out to for the transducer. Any thoughts and thanks for help.

Compared to 12t, is there a huge difference in the stability. I have the 128t but I am looking to upgrade. If the stability isn't that much different it might not be worth it. Thanks for the video

Thanks for the video I'm looking for one to use for targeting large catfish i live on a big lake an just wanna leave it at my dock. Thought this would be good tocarryextra batteries I mainly suspend my bait off the bottom an troll slowly looking for structure an fish. So this maybe perfect for me I go for over 6 hours each trip.

You'll easily be able to store an extra battery in the tank well. I can fish all day and still have juice when I get home

Loving your setup, I'm in the process of rigging mine now. Will definitely steal a couple of your ideas. One question, where did you get the wire protection from that you used at the fish finder. And if possible can you post a close up picture of it. Thanks in advance, and keep pumping out the awesome videos.

@dakotafalz194 жыл бұрын
I was out the other morning well before sunrise and there was no wind. I didn't have any issues with bugs. I believe blue is supposed to preserve night vision and deter bugs though. If you go on YakPowers website they explain each color and its best uses.

The motor is mounted to a Minnkota quick attach plate that I drilled 4 holes through the Ascend mounting plate into the hull to mount it. It comes with all the hardware www.amazon.com/dp/B000E8FSTG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_f2XXEbDGRSMWB

@dakotafalz194 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I was worried I was going to have issues with the motor but its actually really easy. I unlock the motor before I get in so all I have to do is push it down in deeper water and when pulling it up, Ascend sent a release latch cable to unlock the motor as well as a pull cord so it's nice and easy
