When it comes to a lot of the DLC Vs base game mobs, I think the DLC ones outclass them when it comes to just sheer power - they're made to be a lot stronger - so if they don't have godly pools of HP, staggering movesets or Havel poise, they're kind of doomed

So, I am really glad to see a DS2 fight trailer! It's not the Throne Watcher/Defender vs. Graverobber, Varg, Cerah fight I had been requesting, but it's going to be awesome as well! And while this battle was predictable (not least because it's been done before), it did make wonder. I think that Harald Knights are basically the second strongest enemies in the entire game (Pus of Man is the first; they have 50/50 chance of killing Dragonslayer Armor with 0 buffs). As such, they are probably the best candidate for the DS3 equivalent of The Mushroom Show - call it The Harald Show, and let us see which (Firelink) NPCs, if any, have even a chance of triumphing over a Harald.

Pillars of light can absolutely be useful in specific situations. I use it as a set-up because literally no one ever expects it in pvp. The stun is pretty good, and with a little luck from RNJesus you can actually hurt unwary players a lot. In my experience it works best against semi-aggressive players who dart in for quick attacks before rolling out of the way, cast a fast miracle like Lightning Spear/Force/WOWC wait for the roll, then do POL. The wake-up will be just short enough to be hit by a couple pillars.

You could use the already available cleric NPC against fifty hollow for example Or build a cleric combat team with a few elite cleric NPC with elite cleric armor (not available without CE), some cleric fighter with cleric armor and some cleric basic fighter with the default cleric set, versus a huge amount of hollows that would be very cool and lore friendly like they have to purge an arena Idk if it's possible to create NPC with custom loadout however

Their armor actually matches Gael's, but is intensely corroded. They could have been other slave knights that failed in their quest to retrieve the Dark Soul. There's also some reason to believe Gael actually came from Drangleic, though, so they may not have known Gertrude, or even the kingdom of Lothric, being from a much, much earlier age like Gael.

Ahaha, I guess this comes down to an ol' fashioned DPS test: the Ascended Wing Knights can attack faster, but the Harald Legion Knight hits that much harder. Even in the final round, when the HLK was being stunlocked into oblivion, he managed to string together enough attacks to bring the AWKs below half health. Now that is impressive XD Would it be cliche to call the Harald Legion Knights the 'Yhorm' of DS3's standard enemies?

PO88 did this fight before. However, he screwed it up by setting them both to x10 HP, which gave an insane advantage to an already far tankier Harald Knight. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6uxY2WJa9qspJI Since Bonfire has great experience with setting the multipliers for near-even fights, I hope that it'll be far more evenly matched now, and that Ascended Winged Knights could really have their far more interesting movesets shine. EDIT: OK, I guessed it wrong. There was a 5X HP adjustment to both sides this time, and the Haralds still predictably won in 1-on-1s. I swear, I think the *only* other enemy that would actually kill them is Pus of Man. Maybe Giant Slaves too, and perhaps Monstrosity of Sin has an outside chance. If you include the unique minibosses, there's also Stray Demon/Fire Demon, but that's about it.
