I have been in the process of conversion for 3 years now, it has been a difficult and beautiful experience. I recently started praying the rosary at least 3 times a week and much like my experience with the Catholic faith so far, it has deepened my relationship with Christ and further strengthened my resolve to get baptized. I am currently going to OCIA and will be baptized this coming Easter by the grace of God. Pray for us new and prospective converts!

“IF” you have not already, please consider going to Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament (also known as “Holy Hour”). Call your local Catholic parish and find out when they offer it. Then, just go and sit in silence in Christ’s Presence. Take your bible. Read scripture, pray, contemplate. Tell the Lord of your search for truth, of your doubts, worries, even fears. Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. When you receive the grace to know that HE IS THERE, you will be forever changed. Miracles occur in Christ’s presence - of that I can personally attest.

My son was in a horrific auto accident which put him in the hospital with a brain stem injury. My husband and I went to be by him. I remember everyone felt badly for my husband and I being far from our home state and thinking our son would not recover; he was in such bad shape. There was a little chapel in the hospital with a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary. I kneeled and prayed to her for the grace and strength to get through whatever lie ahead of us. I felt a peace that I have never felt before come over me and then my son started to get better the very next day. He was in his mid 20's at the time and now he is 60. This brought my husband and I back to church and I pray the rosary often.

One of my favorite Bible segments bringing to mind the dignity of life- When Mother Mary was pregnant with Jesus, she went on an about eighty mile joyous journey to visit her cousin Saint Elizabeth (patron saint of expectant mothers and pregnant women) in her hour of need, Elizabeth said referencing her tiny child in her womb John the Baptist who was conceived when she was in old age: Luke 1:41-45 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” Praying for our Church, our culture, and for us in my Rosary every day! I believe Jesus Christ is the mediator, and I believe our Blessed Mother Mary can lead us to Him. She prays for us on our way to Him. When I refer to Mary as my mother, please know I am not taking away respect due to my one and only God, Lord Jesus Christ. I believe loving people Jesus loves helps us love Him more, so the more I love Mary, the more I love God, and Jesus gave Mary to us as our mother on the Cross. John 19: 26-27 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. Mother Mary, the first Christian with her choice to say "yes" to my one and only God's will, I believe she is the number 1 model for sainthood for both men and women. She did God's will perfectly in every respect from the moment of her conception, listening to every single one of His commands. Her choice to say "yes" Luke 1:38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her. to God's will ushered in salvation for the world, and she did so knowing the sacrifices and sufferings that would result from her decision, but, humbly, accepted the privilege of containing the God of the Universe her womb, and then becoming Jesus' most intimate friend, companion, and greatest consolation while on Earth. She was the devil's ultimate humiliation! I believe God is the King of the universe, having all power of the universe, but God chose Our Lady, a humble lowly woman the privilege of crushing the head of the devil. Mary is not God, but she is a saint, and being that she is with Jesus in Heaven, I ask for her intercession to our Lord (and for sake of brevity, I'll say I "pray to Mary"), similar to how I'd ask people to pray for me (if you have the time, please do! I'm a broken sinner in need of many prayers), but I trust she is a saint in Heaven so I believe it is helpful to ask for her help, especially being so close to her Son. There is only one God. He is the source of all good. He is Goodness. He is Love! Thank you, Father Mike Schmitz!

Thank you for your guidance and sharing. I've been enjoying the Bible in 1 year podcast and after many years of prayer and reflection I am now following Gods path into the Catholic faith. Who knows, maybe even into the life of Priest. Blessings.

I liked this video a lot. I am not Catholic but I have been saying the rosary (with the help of various KZbin channels) for about 8 years. I have learned some of the things you said but not all. I find the holy rosary very calming and centering. I also love the structure of the prayers and the bits of Jesus’s life in each grouping. Thank you!

I started praying the Rosary 3 years ago, in the middle of my process of praying for my marriage restoration. I started on my own, then in group and now I pray also with my mom. I'm in love with the Rosary, it's a true meditation on Jesus' life and it's a moment to relax and think no other thing so it has also helped me with my anxiety. . I love your videos, father. Thank you

Sometimes the Rosary feels like mindless repetition when you're just saying the same words over and over again. But I've also noticed that it's a very peaceful and calming prayer. Repeating the same prayer keeps your mind from drifting too far away.

I’m a cradle catholic, and then became a non denominational Christian at 26. I was extremely devout for 5 years and now I am going back. I joined RCIA this fall and one thing I always heard was, it’s not good to repeat over and over again the same thing. And that it’s mindless, blah blah blah. One person that told me that was my husband. I told him, look, the Rosary is the perfect prayer. Look at our father, look at Hail Mary. What Are you saying? You’re thanking, you’re asking for mercy, you’re asking for God’s will, you’re praying for EVERYONE, literally everyone else. What else do you need? Now I still will take the time to pray for my Lord about specific things but the Rosary is perfect for our day to day. In the end, we can’t manipulate God and we have faith he will know what we need.

The Rosary is a method of learning and meditating on Jesus' life through the mysteries. The prayers are the same but they are said while meditating on the five mysteries of that day's Mystery. Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous. Once I learned that part of the prayers, my praying of the Rosary was much more rewarding.

Happy Feast Day of the Holy Guardians Angels! Prayed to Jesus today through the intercession of my guardian angel! Psalm 90:11 "For he hath given his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love entrusts me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. I've been praying for you Father Mike and the people here in my Rosary every day (thank you for everyone last week who prayed for my friend, including someone who replied praying to Jesus through the intercession St. Mark Ji Tianxiang!) and, on Sunday, the Feast Day of the Holy Archangels, St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael, I prayed to our Lord Jesus through the intercession of Saint Michael, as well as Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael, to help protect and defend us. I believe he's our friend and loves us with the love of Heaven, the love of God, and God entrusted us to Saint Michael, so we can trust he will help us get to Heaven. He will help take care of us! Hope you have a light-filled peaceful joyful blessed October, everyone!

The argument that Protestants tell me about saying the Hail Mary is who told you to combine the words from the Angel and the words from Elizabeth and make them a prayer? What do I tell them specifically about that question ? Thank you. I love leading the Rosary Saturdays at 4:30 at St Vincent de Paul Austin TX and welcome everyone in that area to attend .

This reminds me of Lot asking the Lord if he will destroy the righteous along with the wicked. Which is why prayer is not only good for us but those around us. Who may not know God and when we can we should share with those in the dark. Plant seeds brothers and sisters. God will water them through us and others.

That's such a beautiful thing about the church. Knowing we have the ability to pray even in the midst of our sin. Knowing that's the way of the saints of course knowing ourself. Before we go never ceasing, certainly we must strive for it, polishing the saint...😂😂😂

ain't that some, when you know what the church does, is make it part in. From the altar to the sun, you realize how much love the church has for a sinner. WHERE YOU AT PRODIGAL, WE LOOKING AND WE TOOTING AND RECRUITING. WE WILL FIND YAH AND WE WILL KEEP YAH.
