Hey Will! Regarding the "flex" in the shifters. That's actually the rubber bump stop at the end of the travel. I know you specifically mentioned this in your reviews for the other Asetek wheels stating how it was nice they added padding and made it quiet for use in an apartment or a home with other occupants. I think if you look closely at the shifters while pulling hard on them you'll notice it's the intentional rubber bumper and not the housing flexing. :)
@boostedmedia4 күн бұрын
No, the plastic is flexing as well.

Very good review - as always. I personally like that shifters a lot. I have other wheels (e.g. BST) that are more rigid in that case but as said I prefer the Asetek shifters... The thing I do not like are the LMP handles. I own them but without gloves they are too slippery in my opinion. I prefer the material of the other handles. But as always: It's personell preference. And Asetek gives you the option. I never regred switching to Asetek from Fanatec.

Hi Will, great video as always. I have one question as "Mr grip man" :-) The LMP grips look like Asetek have added a fine texture to the surface, as there were some comments regarding the launch ones as being quite smooth and slippery. Are you able to confirm this has now been addressed on the version you have there? The reason I ask is we now offer various versions of the Asetek grip range with our 310 Wider Wheel Kit so this is particularly relevant to my customer base, Best Regards, Peter

GSI, Bavarian Simtec, Precision Simracing. Plenty of wheels in this price range. It's a top end product. A endgame wheel. It's not in the cards for everybody, which is why thankfully there is plenty of good options in the 650-800 price range, including from Asetek themselves. However that doesn't make it silly to produce a high end product, or '2020' pricing. European made, no cost cut type of high end product always have a place in the market. Just my thought on your complaint about the shifters. If you look really close when engaging the shifter you can see that the plastic is not flexing in the slightest. The "flex" you are noticing is the endstop of the shifter sinking into the rubber padding. The asetek shifters are padded in both pulling the shifter and releasing it. This is the thing that makes them so silent compared to the competition

@ty1942 күн бұрын
@@TsZen876 In which case you don't need a multiposition switch - just rotary encoders will do like most other wheels. The whole point of having multiposition switches is so that you can visually see with the visual indicators on the hardware what position the switch is in and if the game supports it, it will relay the position to it and it will match what you see. With rotary encoders, it has no concept of position so no matter what position you have the switch in, it will always reset to zero if you restart the game. As for BST, they've created a whole new technology which renders all of this irrelevant. It's a genius but simple concept which stands in a class of its own. By having digital indicators on the wheel itself, it doesn't matter whether or not the rotaries are multiposition.

After some years prices of gaming PC’s will be 20.000 Euros, GPU 10.000 Euros, CPU 5.000 Euros, sim wheels 30.000 Euros, pedals 50.000 Euros, wheelbases 100.000 Euros, and all other stuffs which brings us all together of simrigs of 1.000.000 Euros FOR THE NORMAL YOU AND ME CUSTOMER. Professionel simulators would cost what Elon Musk spent to his rockets. Just saying out loud fellow Elon Musk category super rich simracers. I greet you all ! 🏁🏁🏁

I have promised myself never again to spend less than €2000 on a steering wheel. Sorry Asetek. It's to cheap for me

DON'T SUPPORT SUE HAPPY GREED DRIVEN COMPANIES!!!! Asetek's only goal is to patent everything in this space and the sue the other companies into submission like it did in the All in One liquid cooler market. Pure greed wrapped in evil.

Radically overpriced, typical for Asetek

For me that is the nicest part of the wheel, reminds me of the Cosworth CCW Mk2

We will get to it ASAP. We have a huge backlog of stuff at the moment including those. I already work 120 hours a week. Doing my best.

@@boostedmediaAwesome review mate, maybe for future content a video explaining what goes into a review would be great as i dont think people truly understand how much work it actually is.
