Maybe I'm an edgelord, or maybe I just literally watched episode one of the anime, but Pokémon are _wild animals_ but with super powers, and slightly better cognitive functions. And apart from the f-d up leak lore, wait until you learn about the canon shit that stayed in the game. Like the X amount of Pokémon species that just straight up kidnaps children, specifically kids, human children, tweens, toddlers, babies, someone's one joy in life and their reason for living. Do we know what happens to them? No, but it certainly doesn't state that they had tea and then went back home all content and happy. (Although as a bare minimum silver lining, there probably was cases like that too.)

For real though, it seems like the stories were written precisely to mirror japanese folklore on spirits like Kitsune and Tanuki. They probably got the author to do it just wanting to see how it would read / come off. I could 100% have seen them thinking it would just add the connotations and mystique of folk spirits, and then when they read it they were like "Oh nope. No way. No chance." These stories were probably thought to have been erased, but obviously they saved copies somewhere and didn't get rid of them. Or maybe they kept them around to explain exactly why you DON'T do this.

So even if they weren't going to put things like Arceus forming Dialga/Palkia from its bloody wounds, or Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza shattering the world tree that was then used to form the pokemon world...like they still did put the family tree in multiple places, including when Arceus was forming you a fresh dialga or palkia.

Its backstory for narrative consistency and it was never meant to come out. Every fictional world has these sorts of stories and they can be pretty graphic since their job is to be as honest as possible while also being withheld from the viewers. Knowing what we know about Japanese media, I'm pretty sure that every aggressive female character in animes probably all have a backstory that involves some pretty bad stuff when they were younger. Somewhere out there is a text file explaining all the things done to that red girl in that Evangeline show when she was a child in order to make her personality consistent.

They use translation software that is better than Google Translate, they care a lot about accuracy so they also ask fans who know Japanese to give them better translations. It takes a ton of time to dig through the data, fact check, do proper translations and present it in an easy to digest format. So be prepared for inaccuracies, not only from the hardcore fans who do the hard work of analyzing the material, but also from content creators who carelessly pull possibly unverified information from their communication channels. The best places to get accurate information about a game's development history are places like TCRF.

Theory: I have a theory that pokemon human relationships are probably legalized in places like Kanto but are illegal in places like sinnoh, that would explain why we see npc’s say they are dating a Pokémon in places like kanto, but not in places like sinnoh. Also the scrapped stories were most likely for PLA.

I've used Vaporeon and Typhlosion long before the copypasta and the leaks started obnoxiously spamming the internet and I'll keep using them. The fact that one individual wrote one bizzare disgusting thing about them means that there's something seriously wrong with that individual, not that there's something wrong with an entire pokemon species or anyone who likes them.
