Please give coverage to some of the smaller towns surrounding Asheville. So many rural farming communities hit just as hard or worse, but they are not getting the aid Asheville is right now

I got a brother in Hendersonville the water made it past the roof. They opened the doors and windows ti air out the house and started throwing things away to the sidewalk. The house is 100% intact. There are church groups helping out.

No this is indeed a new and worse circumstance FOR THIS REGION!! This flooding is worse than anyone expected. Even the devastating flooding in 1916 from 2 successive hurricanes that hit South Carolina before moving into North Carolina wasn't this bad because this hurricane has caused devastation to six states from Florida to Virginia.

It may not be new to you. But there hasn’t been anything like this devastation in most of these people’s lifetime and for anyone to say different says a lot of that person. What a heartless and callus thing to say. I had students traumatized and displaced from Katrina and I’m sure it’ll be the same for many of these folks. Sad so many lost their lives and everything.
