At first I was leaning toward the defense because I couldn't understand why someone would get pregnant on purpose and then kill someone so she could be a single mother. However upon hearing the evidence and looking at this lady's demeanor during her testimony and cross; this lady is a master con artist. She is clearly guilty. The man she describes doesn't match the man portrayed by the texts and videos. Her story makes no sense at all. She is 100% guilty BARD.

I do not understand how Ashley, if she truly feared Doug, would not only invite him over to help her move - the most dangerous time for victims of abuse is when they leave - and then also tell her mom to take Emerson to the park - leaving her completely alone with Doug.. she had a boyfriend/fiancee at the time, why not have him help her move?? I noticed this too! Voice immediately calm while she’s correcting the prosecutor. Realizes she’s gone off-base and then tries to recover with a quick “It was scary!” Based on comments from other KZbins videos, people on the jury could definitely find Ashley credible and if they did, this move by prosecutor will really make the jury dig their feet in on a not guilty. Her behaviour is odd and her story isn’t adding up. To those of us who can read her behaviour and can see through her performance it’s an open shut case. The jury however have to agree on the facts of the case and not her weird forced behaviour. I’m just hoping the jury don’t fall for her antics of woe is me. And look at the fact that despite all stories put forward in court the main one is that the deceased was shot from behind and not in front. The strategic "I don't remember", with crocodile tear, when asked if she kept shooting, because through all her lies she can't figure out how to explain away a bullet fired by her in the back of Doug's leg if he was lunging toward her. It's easier to shoot someone in the back or back of their leg as it has to be less emotional less personal than staring at them. But, him saying "you're done" and walking away indicates he discovered her deception on reconciling and is the most plausible explanation for a gunshot in the back of his leg.
