Daytime shooting star is one of my favorite mangas!!!! I recommend Strobe Edge, I think is another manga written by the author of Ao Haru Ride

Wow, i didnt know star collecter was published in English! It's definitely more German when it comes to the story and now the characters react. The only vampire manga is vampire knight and that scarred me for life.

Ooh, I really love Happiness (but Oshimi's work in general is just so good). I bought the first five volumes months ago and binged them, but never went any further. I definitely need to get on that! Ao Haru Ride was enjoyable up to a point for me. I liked the anime, and I think it actually adapted the only part of the manga I liked haha. But the love interest, Mabuchi, made me feel really uncomfortable, which is a common theme in romance manga (and romance fiction in general come to think of it); I felt he treated the protagonist really badly, and she deserved so much better. I've not read the others, but I want to get into Kimi ni Todoke at some point. I heard BAD things about Escape Journey (falling into terrible BL tropes, romanticised abuse/rape, etc.). So much BL is problematic that t's always precarious getting into a new series. For example, I started I Hear the Sunspot, and the first two volumes were great - I highly recommend them - but it started getting into uncomfortable BL territory in volume three... I want to read the next book, but if it keeps going this way I might have to stop. Daytime Shooting Star looks interesting! I really enjoyed this video :D

I clicked on this to see your reactions on Daytime Shooting Stars but ended up picking up two more manga series (Happiness and Star Collector). I hope you enjoy what Daytime Shooting Stars has in stores! Even though the plot is quite controversial I still fell in love deeply with one of the characters and shed a few tears. Btw for Kimi ni Todoke, the manga may be long but it's completed and you get to see who ends up with who. Whereas the anime, the plot ends with an open ending. During the time the anime was created the manga didn't ended yet.

The Daytime manga and the Collecting Stars one look like ones I will like maybe even Happiness as well. Kimi ni Todoke is one of my all time favorites i've read almost all of it except the last 3 or so volumes. I think you will like the 2nd volume it focuses more on Sawako's budding friendship with Chizuru and Ayane and is super cute. The anime is good, but I don't find it as good as the manga because it adds too many extra sparkles when they do the special effects and backgrounds. Like when the focus on two characters staring at eachother romantically in the background surrounding them are a bunch of sparkles and flowers. Also the manga does a good job of showing the two main characters and their relationship, struggles and life after they actually get together while the anime since it was made before the manga was finished only shows them getting together I think. The only flaw( in my opinion) that I can think of really is that the love interest while really sweet and amazing can come across as a bit of a boring character especially compared to the other characters in the story. Though he does have some depth to him as do all the characters and I love the growth and character arcs everyone goes through in the manga. Especially Sawako with how she goes from the shy girl that everyone was afraid of with no friends to becoming this amazing young woman by the end with a group of supportive friends who love her, more confidence in herself, and the acceptance of her peers at school. I was not planning on writing this much, it just happened. Whoops. I just really love this manga.

You really need to read BOYS OVER FLOWERS. Its one of my favorite manga. its long like 36 volumes maybe but its worth it.

We are shojo romance sisters, there is nothing better that some cliche manga. BUT I clicked on this video since I saw Ao haru ride in the thumbnail and really wanted to see what you thought, IT'S MY FAVORITE!! I remember reading all the fan translations way back and agh it's so angsty, drawn out but also rewarding I think I have reread all 13 volumes like 4?? times at this point. We are also so lucky now to be getting real translations, idk I really what you to like it. Read it, read it!!

OMG!!! you should try reading Maid-Sama by Hiro Fujiwara it was so fun, I've watched the anime and I'm currently reading the first volume and I'm in Love. I've also watched the anime for Ao Haru Ride and I can't wait to read the manga too. -maid sama is a shoujo manga

I read and watched Blue Spring Ride like a year ago I think. I really liked it, but I can never remember what happens in it when I think back. I remember enjoying it, though. I also watched Kimi Ni Todoke years ago and thought it was super cute, but I don't think I ever finished watching season 2.
