I thought to show this to students if I was teaching school at this time to interest them in crawly creatures, but there is no doubt there would be a terrible outrage from the parents, and possibly a lawsuit for encouraging them to do this even though there is a disclaimer. Maybe there would be less risk with high schoolers. You sure do know how to keep a high interest level. Good luck 🍀 with your ventures.

So much stuff in nature made of chitin. Not only do you not ham up the stings, but you give more information than coyote. Did you know that pink oyster mushrooms and flamingos share the same exact pigment? So many compounds can be found in several different unrelated places in nature, it's wild.

Brave , I’ll say. I’m curious, is the scorpion NOT stinging you because it’s calm? By default, will they just behave that way if you pick one up? I ask because of that old story about the nature of a scorpion that crossed on the frogs back.
@JacksWorldofWildlife4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Scorpions are generally quick to flee instead of stinging. If you directly grab a scorpion it may interpret that as an attack, but allowing one to crawl into your hand without sudden movement rarely results in a sting.

I used to live in Missouri and there were lots of striped bark scorpions. I have been stung on several occasions, the pain was rather mild and only lasted a few minutes. I say the worst thing about the sting was the shick of getting stung because I wasn't expecting it. If I had to compare it to something I'd say its no worse than getting a shot at the doctors office and they poke you a little to hard with the needle
@gabrielbirdsong31202 жыл бұрын
Be real careful. I'm sure you've gotta know, if someone punches you in the eye or around it, you're going to have significant swelling and discoloration bad. But if someone "hits" you in the forearm it's just gonna get a little red. Kinda like how all these stings do on your forearm. So remember: sting arm = red sting face equals elephant man face with swelling your eyes shut! Theres a difference. Try it

@JacksWorldofWildlife5 жыл бұрын
CheeF Huey not necessarily. There are lethally dangerous scorpions the size of the one I am holding in this video. A better way to tell is the size of the tail and claws. If they have small slender claws and a thick tail chances are they are highly venomous. If they have large claws and a normal tail they most likely use their claws to crush their food and are not as toxic.
