എന്തിനാണ് റെയിൽവേ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തുന്നത്. സംഭവിച്ചതെന്താണെന്ന് അവർക്കു മാത്രം മനസ്സിലായില്ലേ? ഒരു 20 വർഷമെങ്കിലും ആയിക്കാണും അവിടെ ഒരു മേൽപ്പാലം വേണമെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ പറയാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട്. അമൃത ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന നൂറുകണക്കിന് രോഗികളും, വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും, സ്ത്രീകളും, പ്രായമായവരും പാളത്തിലൂടെ നടന്നു വേണം അപ്പുറത്തെത്താൻ. അവിടെ ഒരു ഫുട് ഓവർബ്രിഡ്ജ് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരു അടിപ്പാത, നടന്നു പോവാൻ പാകത്തിനെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെകിൽ ഒരുപാട് പേര് ഇന്ന് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നേനെ. ഒരിക്കൽ ട്രാക്ക് കടക്കുന്നതിടയിൽ കാൽ തട്ടി വീണു എഴുന്നേൽക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ കിടന്ന രോഗിയായ ഒരാളെ ഞാൻ തന്നെ എടുത്തു മാറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 6 ട്രാക്ക് ഉണ്ട് അവിടെ. പിന്നെ നല്ല വളവും. ട്രെയിനിന്റെ ഹോൺ കേട്ടാലും ഏതു ട്രാക്കിലൂടെ ആണ് വണ്ടി വരുന്നതെന്ന് ട്രാക്കുകളെ പറ്റിയും സിഗ്നലുകളെ പറ്റിയും നല്ല ധാരണ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഭൂരിപക്ഷം ആളുകൾക്കും മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല. റെയ്ൽവേയുടെയും മറ്റു അധികാരികളുടെയും അവഗണന തന്നെയാണ് കാരണം. ചിലപ്പോൾ ട്രെയിനുകൾ ആളുകൾക്ക് നടന്നു കടക്കാൻ പോലും ആവാത്ത വിധമായിരിക്കും കിടക്കുക. പ്രായമായരും കുട്ടികളും ജീവൻ കയ്യിൽ പിടിച്ചു ട്രിനിനു അടിയിലൂടെ നൂണ്ടു പോകുന്ന ദയനീയ കാഴ്ച അവിടുത്തുകാർക്കു സുപരിചിതമാണ്. വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു മുൻപ് ഒരു പെൺകുട്ടി ഒരു ഗുഡ്സ് വാഗന്റെ അടിയിലൂടെ കടക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ വണ്ടി നീങ്ങുകയും ആ കുട്ടി ട്രാക്കിൽ തന്നെ കിടന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്ത സംഭവവും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. റയിൽവെയുടെ അവഗണന തന്നെയാണ് കാരണം. പിന്നെ ഇവർ എന്താണ് ഇനി അന്വേഷിച്ചു കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നത്?
