എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് നമ്മുടെ ചെറുപ്പക്കാർ തൊഴിൽതേടി വിദേശങ്ങളിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത്? നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിൽ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാലാണോ? തൊഴിലെടുക്കാൻ ആളില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അന്യനാട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് തൊഴിലാളികളെ ഇറക്കുമതിചെയ്യുന്ന നാടാണ് ഇന്ന് കേരളം. താഴേക്കിടയിലുള്ള ജോലിക്കാണത് എന്ന് വേണമെങ്കിൽ വാദിക്കാം. പക്ഷേ ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരമുള്ള ജോലി ചെയ്യേണ്ട അഭ്യസ്തവിദ്യരായ ചെറുപ്പക്കാർ അമേരിക്കയിലേക്കും കാനഡയിലേക്കും യൂറോപ്പിലേക്കും സിംഗപ്പൂരിലേക്കും ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലേക്കും കുടിയേറുന്നത് ഈ നാട്ടിൽ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ മാത്രമല്ല. ആ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഓരോ പൗരനും നൽകുന്ന പദവിയും സുഖസൗകര്യങ്ങളുംകൂടി പരിഗണിച്ചിട്ടാണ്. അവിടുത്തെ ജീവിതസുരക്ഷ ഓർത്തിട്ടാണ്. അവിടെ ഭാവി ഭദ്രമാണ് എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ടാണ്. നമ്മൾ ബൂർഷ്വായെന്നും ചൂഷകരെന്നും അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലേക്കാണ് നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികൾ കൂട്ടത്തോടെ കുടിയേറുന്നതെന്ന് ഓർക്കണം. നമ്മൾ എങ്ങനെയൊക്കെ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചാലും അവിടെ ജീവിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആ നാട് സ്വർഗ്ഗമാണ്. അന്യരാജ്യക്കാർപോലും അവിടേക്കെത്താനും ആ നാടിന്റെ സുരക്ഷിതത്വത്തിൽ ശിഷ്ടകാലം ജീവിക്കാനും കൊതിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതല്ലേ യഥാർത്ഥ രാഷ്ട്രസങ്കല്പം. ഏറ്റവും കഴിവുള്ളവനെ മാത്രം പരിഗണിക്കുകയും ഏറ്റവും മിടുക്കനു മാത്രം അവസരങ്ങൾ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടല്ല ദരിദ്രരാജ്യങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുപോലും സാധാരണക്കാർവരെ അവിടേക്ക് കുടിയേറുന്നത്. ദുർബലനും രോഗിക്കും വികലാംഗനും വൃദ്ധനുമൊക്കെ ആ നാടു കൊടുക്കുന്ന പരിഗണനയും അവസരങ്ങളും അവകാശങ്ങളുമാണ് ആ നാടുകളെ ആകർഷകങ്ങളാക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു വികലാംഗനോ വൃദ്ധനോ നിത്യരോഗിയോ ഒക്കെ താൻ രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ വിലമതിക്കാനാവാത്ത സ്വത്താണെന്ന അഭിമാനത്തോടെയാണ് അവിടെ ജീവിക്കുന്നത്. ആരോഗ്യമുള്ളവർക്കില്ലാത്ത നിരവധി അവകാശങ്ങളും ആനുകൂല്യങ്ങളും സാമ്പത്തികസുരക്ഷയും അവർക്കുണ്ട്.. എന്നാൽ നമ്മുടെ നാട് നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിലെ ദുർബലർക്കും അശരണർക്കും വൃദ്ധർക്കും എന്തു പരിഗണനയാണ് നൽകുന്നത്.

I studied in a professional institute in Kerala but I struggled to find a job there. My kids study in the US. I must say that I find Indian system of education much harder and more worth than the US one. But at the same time the opportunities that they get are great. I am 100% sure that if I compare the my kids with Indian kid in the same class my kids will do bad at the same time my kids will do better when it comes to pubic speaking, presentation, asking questions and ultimately getting a job.Indian kids are book smart, street smart but we are grooming them to be service providers while Us grooms them t be enterprenuers. I would love to go back to Kerala if my kids get a comparable education and opportunities.

It was just a certificate, the entrepreneurial part which you mentioned is lacking. It is better to not bring your kids back to the rat race in India and make them suffer.

എന്റെ മകൻ UK യിൽ പോകേണ്ടി വന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ wife ജോലി അവിടെ Bsc nursing കഴിഞ്ഞു ഇവിടെ work ചെയ്തു മാന്യമായ ശമ്പളം പോലും കൊടുക്കാതെ 24hours duty. ഇപ്പോൾ UK യിൽ. സുഖമായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആഴചയിൽ 3days duty.6hours duty time. ഇവിടെ ആണെങ്കിലോ

Higher Education sectoril Keralam pinnilott poyathu aryan Border areasil ulla number of Higher Education colleges nokkyal mathyallo. Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Mangalore, Bangalore - All have a number of colleges without the Politics and lack of exposure that our colleges have. Currently, many Malayali's have the financial capability to study abroad which offer even better facilities than the above mentioned colleges outside Kerala. Poor job opportunities is the main reason why youth are doing higher education and finding jobs in other cities of the country and abroad too. If govt wishes to retain people here, they need to create an IT hub like Bangalore, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad etc. Govt needs to encourage the private sector and MNC to start business in Kerala, that will also reduce the public's dependence on PSC jobs which is the most sought after jobs currently in the state.

Well said. In US, California , nurses are making $90/ hr ( 7200 INR per hour) which is equal to around 1.5 crores INR per year. We work 40 hrs/ week. In addition we get pension and free health insurance and all other benefits. Can you even compare this with what India provides..??

This is not only Indians. People all over are migrating. Its a survival thing. Times are changing fast. We are a country with 150 crore people...why is it an issue now if some migrate? How is this a problem? It is a good thing in the long run. There will be a trickle-down effect, economically and culturally, anyway. If people are unaware of social evils and not ready to take action, then the natural progression of things will intervene, and transformations will organically happen. It will be slow.
