Gel Nimbus 25 offers so much more than Novablast, and easily the max Comfort!! It is absolutely the best shoe Asics ever produced, and one the best shoes I ever put my foot in! (And ive had Nike Invincible run, Tempo next %, Pegasus 39, Adidas Ultraboost 22.. )

I just purchased the Nimbus 25. I was curious and I returned the Novablast 3 to Amazon. I didn’t care for it because it didn’t breathe. The 25 is the better shoe in my opinion.

The novablast 3 has come down in price a lot. You can get a pair for about 100 euro, where the nimbus 25 is 200 at the moment. You could pair the nb 3 with the magic speed 2 for just over the price of the nimbus 25.

The nova blast 3 is brilliant for me in terms of building up my fitness and protecting my joints and feet. Within my first run I realised that this was money well spent. As my fitness improves, I’ll buy another more responsive trainer. Great shoes

They say you shouldn't buy both of these shoes (as they do the same thing.. Apparently), but I did!, the Nim 25s for everyday walking (they a little heavy for running) and the Nova 3s for everyday training.

I have both and I would not recommend half size down in the novablast. The Novablast feels a bit narrower, so I’d worry about the width in a half size down. If you have a pencil foot, maybe, but my average foot (slighlty low volume) fits perfectly true to size.

I'll just take both please! Already have the NB3 (as seen in my latest thumbnail), but considering a max cushion shoe for slower runs, protect the joints a bit better.

Or do max cushion shoes actually protect the joints or make joints worse? I'm on the fence with this but research is showing max cushion can cause issues with joints

@@karlbratby4349 I probably should have said that I feel less impact in my joints with more cushion, but there’s definitely issues with stability as cushion increases. If the stack is too big, cushioned and lacks stability then your joints will experience a lot of instability and strain which could lead to problems.

My issue with the Novablast 3 is that when running my feet slap the ground fast, noisy and unpleasant feeling. How is it with the Nimbus 25?

@@paddywiggle Thanks. By the way my Triumph 20 also slaps... I have hurt my Achilles Tendon and low calf pain and I think that the slapping (to fast movement down of the forefoot) is the problem ❓ took the Nimbus 24 today for a run.. I find them so boring I just shop in them.. So run 5 miles in the NIMBUS 24 AND NO ACHILLES Tendon pain.. How is it possible ❓Novablast 3 worst but Nimbus 24 best? I guess I don't like shoes with a fat ass 🙄

It could be that the bouncier midsoles aggravate your achilles and calves because your heel is moving up and down a greater distance. The Nimbus 24 also has stability built in so a stable shoe with a rocker like the one in the Nimbus 25 or NB More may help.

Currently have the Novablast 3 and the More v4 in my rotation. Actually considering switching the brands around for each category and get the Rebel v3 and the Nimbus 25. Would you guys be able to do a Novablast 3 VS Rebel v3 and a Nimbus 25 VS More v4 comparison?

@@Mrjoysol I’m a mild overpronator, more so on my left foot. I find the Novablast 3 to be somewhat unstable and retired it at 200 miles after seeing that the inner midsole sculpting is worn out due to me landing on it. I assume it’s because of the narrow heel. To answer your question, whenever I up the pace in the Novablast 3, it has a nice pop and gives back what you put into it. However, that pop lessened pretty drastically over the life of the shoe. I’ve seen many comments of people taking their 3’s to the +400 mile range, but for me, the ride starts to slowly get worse past the 100-mile mark. It’s a daily trainer that can go fast, but I’m considering replacing it with the Endorphin Speed 3 or the Rebel v3.

Guys... gonna have to say something regarding the sizing of all the shoes you are testing, this became apparent when having my shoes pro-fitted in a pro store. you and many others on youtube say true to size in say size 8 but what you don't state is whether that is your true civvy shoe size eg NON-running shoe size or your shoe size for running. both the pro fitters who were both ex- pro athletes stated to be careful what KZbinrs state as correct sizing as ALL runners who are running 5k plus need to go on average a size bigger if not 1.5 sizes bigger to allow for the foot to expand during the running cycle thus allowing for the toes to spread and keep within the footbed of the shoe. SO if your a civvy size 8 then you will be a size 9 or even a 9.5 in running shoes (it depends on foot shape). More than 50% of the runners that these guys see undersize their shoes as I have been doing, not to the point of getting black toenails but it was causing issues in other ways... defo a light bulb moment for me. MAYBE a whole video needs to be done around sizing correctly for running, get an expert in to give advice. Love the videos you all do but thought this needs to be put out there as it is very misleading when you say true to size! true to what size ?

I would put the Glideride 3 between those shoes and could be the better choice. The Novablast 3 ride is too firm for me and causes some pain while with the Glideride 3 there aren’t such problems at all and the feet don’t tire at all.

I got a pair of novablast 3 after hearing so much about the 4s and then alot were saying the 3 are the #1 so I bought them on discount anyway so far not really that impressed, , other shoes I like more for long runs and daily trainers for sure

I have to agree with Nick as I've found the Novablast 3 soon becomes a boring ride, a dead feel. I think its a disappointing shoe especially after the hype and rave reviews when it was released.

Like the other 2 novablasts same thing. The foam on the 3 is really the best one so far. Superblast is way more fun tho. Just very expensive

1000km on my Novablast 1s and they're still fun and responsive. The foam on the 3 is the best on paper and sounds great in all the advertising materials (blast+ feels great to me in the nimbus 24 too) but get it underfoot in the nova 3s and it's just a disappointment. Not responsive at all.

Grip on the nova 3 is awful and watch out wearing it with ankle socks if you don't have shred-proof shins. Nick summed the ride up pretty well, something about the new foam makes it die after a while underfoot, which is a shame because past novas were a great long run shoe. Have almost 300km in mine now and would definitely recommend v1 or v2 over v3 if you can find them.

@@geraltofrivia4651 I mean, I wouldn't say that's bad. If people like it then it's great for them. I'd just advise anyone who was a fan of the original and thinks they're going to get more of the same from the 3 that a lot of people also find it very sluggish. If you're after an easy pace recovery show for short to middling runs then it's great (outsole and tongue aside), just be aware that that's very different to what the old versions offered.

Nick explained my thoughts exactly re the nb3 a lightweight shoe that feels like a brick on foot. Gone off it over time and thinks it’s the shoe of the year for been overrated. Seems ok on the treadmill though
