I am 84Kg. the Nimbus 26 was already too soft, if the 27 is softer is definitively not for me anymore. I will go with the Hoka Bondi 9 this time.

Bought a Nimbus 9 as lifestyle/walking shoe and it does very well for running as well. I used to run in them back in early 2000s. Super comfy, very light and that mesh upper is unmatched by today's shoes
@PhilipWatts-q5r12 сағат бұрын
It seems like now the brands introductory running shoes like the Nimbus, Ghost, and 880 are now being used and marketed as "lifestyle " running shoes which can be used as walking, working, running errands in shoes that you can also run in. Which is why they are the brands #1 running shoes because thry appeal to a broader consumer. For higher mileage runners "hobby joggers," they are now used as recovery shoes. The next step up in the brands, the Novablast, Glycerin, 1080 are now the true inroductory running shoes for higher mileage

🔥A - nother 🔥S - tacked 🔥M - ileage 🔥R - eview This is a sentimental shoe for me. I am not sure if you remember but a few years ago you took me on a mystery ride to a running store and treated me to the Asics GEL NIMBUS 24. When I tried it on it was like no other shoe I had ever worn. Cushioned for running, walking and studio hours on feet, The foam did take a while to break in and I have gotten used to that soft feel. This pair is still in the rotation and holding up well. THANK YOU for the thorough review❣ For reference - I am 5' 4" / 130 lbs - and NOT a "powerful runner." 🤣

you have such a likeable personality. I don't mind watching other type of content from you haha. maybe something that focus on food after training or other type of sports you do other than running (I think trainer always recommend people to find other type of sport to complement running, to develop the muscle if I'm not mistaken).

The Nimbus 26 was effective and comfy until about the 400 mile mark. I used solely for slow runs and long walks. Great shoe overall. They do run hot in the summer time, Hopefully the 27 is more ventilated.
@kuriosites3 сағат бұрын
The Nimbus 25 had a little resilience early on for me but, after 300+ miles and a couple of months wearing them at work, they're still soft but they're not giving anything back. The Superblast and the Deviate Nitro 2 have retained their responsiveness after taking as much or more beating (just passed 700 miles on the Deviate). For supplements, I take a B12 (because vegan) and now Iron, which has made me feel like I'm taking EPO. :) If you're not taking B12, I hope you're getting plenty of B12-fortified foods. Also, those biscuits looked so good.

do you think the traction will be durable?
@supwell2 сағат бұрын
rubber durability was solid for me across the 25 (~300 miles) and also the novablast 4. asics tends to have good rubber durability - with the soft foam here it's likely the midsole will lose its good qualities far before the rubber goes

Do you ever indulge the urge to walk in your runs if you're really not feeling a run?
@supwell6 сағат бұрын
i don't personally walk during runs but it is a great way to get more time on feet or build consistency. i train by feel so i ru as slow as needed for that day and if i'm not feeling it, i'll set a low mileage target for the day's run

....need to react despite hiatus on my triple day between an outside walk, an inside walk on the walking pad and a normal run........ I don`t watch any runningshoe channels, but i watch the darts championship on german TV ,and yesterday evening i almost fell from the couch At one point the german commentator said: Dieses Spiel hier war ein echter banger.......this game was a real banger hey man show me your max stack shoes or shut up........ the other point, when i watch your videos i got Casey Neistat vibes...your videos are completely different from the daily vlogs years ago , but i got the same vibes of superior creativity of an "active eagle brain"........far superior to all the duck brains of the freeloaders, which call themselves shoetuber. if you follow the crowd you always be stuck with all the other duck brains, only the free flying eagle will find new pastures, where nobody has been before ....lastly, you might scroll back in the comments of your videos to a point, where you talked about the growing pace of the channel. I am sure there was a comment by an old dude, who projected 100thousend subscribers by the end of 2025

@@supwell thank you Yowana. My running is going well. I established a 35 minute walk on the walking pad ( designed to be used under a standing desk in the office), which seems pretty silly. But it all starts in the head, and looking at my day, i now see the start of my moving at 7 am and a finish at 5 pm with a 3 hour break at mid morning and a 2 hour lunch break. Til the end of winter i will reduce the morning break by increasing the walking pad time, and suddenly i have a 10 hour day with just one 2 hour lunch break, used mainly for eating and sleeping. Starting in March i will incorporate 20 day waves of hills, speed or distance with 10 days of easy only running. When the summer comes along i will do a few back to back to back 50 kilometer days to get me ready for my section hike in the fall. All in all i never have been slower, i never have been happier, i still got the mindset of my younger years.....and i do now exactly what i told i would some 40 years ago, when i was called crazy and stupid. average distance per week now around 130 kilometer.....most of my life....too late to stop now.......

I’m interested to hear Yowana’s reply. For me, the answer is yes. Running is something you challenge yourself to do, but when life brings you other challenges, the training in meeting challenges that you give yourself on the road/track/trail applies.

100% - encourages me to eat in a way that helps me perform better on workouts; encourages me to get more sleep so i can recover; encourages me to only put things in my body that help me feel better the next day (i don't drink anymore); gives me more focus and clarity throughout the day; helps me maintain a healthy BMI; improves morale and self-confidence; the list goes on but running has changed my life for the better in so many ways. i wanted to start a business for the longest time but never had the focus or consistency to do that, and i found that too through running

You pronounced multiple Nimbus as "Nimby" vs. "Nimbeye". (soft i vs hard i) Did you take Latin in high school, because that's how I'd pronounce second declension Latin plural as well. Most people who don't know Latin would say "Nimbeye".
