@maayyyyaaaaaaaa4 жыл бұрын
I loved Freddie's makeover with Curly! This series is fun but also feels like it encourages fast fashion sometimes. Though I'm glad they addressed how buying plus size secondhand is also harder. They're def heading in the right direction but I still feel like Chloe could've done a better job- an oversized jean jacket is one of the most common pieces you can find in the world of vintage, whereas fast fashion (even if it's secondhand) is for more trendy/less basic pieces. Vintage denim is almost always better quality than what was made within the last 5-10 years when FF really hit. Just check the men's section of a thrift store or Etsy/eBay for online! And true, FF is usually cheapest in the short term but if you factor in the longevity of the jacket and social costs behind putting it on the market, thrifting vintage is the way to go, especially with a jean jacket. Also don't be afraid to ask for more/clearer/modeled pics when buying things online! (That Poshmark seller is sh*tty and I hope Chloe reports them)
@JCstrikesagain4 жыл бұрын
@@lolalacey1377 you don't have to be rude because I feel it is worth mentioning in a comment that Chloe buying second hand is great. Given how polluting the fashion industry is, people in comments of videos congratulating those for being more eco-friendly may encourage video producers to buy more second hand items. Perhaps you should keep the snarky comments to yourself.
@heysaucemikehere18044 жыл бұрын
Lola Lacey There is absolutely no point is saying this, they were expressing their opinion that they _enjoyed_ the fact that they did secondhand. In the video they just say that they are _doing_ secondhand. Getting comments saying that they enjoyed it will make them more likely to do it more often. Please think before you speak.

I really wish they would include a “middle ground” option. A lot of people are trying to move away from fast fashion, but if they only compare it to $1,000 clothing it isn’t as helpful for the average shopper.
