Your knowledge on things you've mentioned in videos + your grasp of English would make for a great stream! Just a thought, though, it'd be very time consuming haha. Keep it up as always! I made a post on the steam forums saying that the games price was too steep, and that I would be a buyer at $20, but $44 is too much. The developer than responded saying the game was not too expensive, but instead it was too cheap, and the price will only go up. He then closed the thread and banned me with the reason of 'trolling' for some reason lol. Ironically now, I just check and the game is, at you guessed it, $20. Oh well, what can you do lol.

I am 100% excited for the new skill with sentient weapons by infusing spirits into weapons. The reason why is because I think it's great that they are using personification as a way to make the core game interesting. It really creates an interesting skill dynamic in a game where exploration and trying new things is why the game is great. Literally 5 years ago when I started playing Gorgon and found out Psychology was a combat skill. I was actually impressed! I thought it was both amusing and interesting how I could defeat an enemy by "Talking About Their Mother". This interesting skill dynamic system is why Gorgon is one of my favorite MMO's. It takes you back to your days as a child with reading adventure fantasy novels and captures the sense of imagination. Also, I think the fact that the new advanced race getting new combat skills such as two handed swords and even another form of fire magic is great because it allows to experience gorgon in another perspective just like how the other advanced race fairy is. Which is essentially great because its not like your starting over from scratch, these are advanced races which operate drastically different than starting races and also start in different parts of the game. Overall, I'm very impressed with Gorgon and I hope that you stick with Gorgon Marle as the game develops as we need people like you to push this game to its final realization.

Speaking about the half off sale, I bought myself a copy and my cousin and because of this interview I will get the VIP for a few months. I'm loving the game and it really does feel more like a virtual world than a typical mmorpg. Being a mmo player in his 30's, and watching anime mmo's I was really missing the old way of playing where players would just enjoy coexisting, and this game definitely has that feel for me

I really have a hard time uderstanding ppl that say the game is too expensive.. I mean they work super hard, game developpment came make you go crazy. At the same time, those same ppl (that think the game is too expensive) want to be well paid while doing their job and will fight for a raise but wont aknowledge other ppls jobs. Would you be ok to be paid 5$/hour? no? well dont ask for an MMO to cost 20$

Thanks for the comment Stalwart! 💖 It should be reiterated that there was only the accusation of power abuse; in another video to be published, this GM and I did a deep dive into the systems in place to protect players & developers within Project Gorgon.

@@MarleMMO It should be noted that the PG community is also small, you mention accusation when it was a fact that situations like this did occur. Any substantive information was scrubbed from steam forums, a culture was also pushed to ignore the steam forums and encourage people to use the official forums as they have more direct oversight there. For clarity, PG is a hidden gem and a truly great experience, but the GMs/Admins/Mods have ruined the experience for some and are probably one of the worst parts of the community as a whole.

Hey Kel, I hope it was clear that I chose the word 'accusation' carefully as I have not personally reviewed evidence showing abuse although that does not demand such a situation did not occur. In the interview, the GM did indicate that one team member had to step down as a result of an incident. 💖

For further clarity, these issues were from a couple years ago so I imagine practices have changed. I remember playing this game during its early development days, Had an fantastic journey - my character got cursed and turned into a pig, it was hilarious how things turned at that point. NPCs behaved differently - really saw me nothing more than a 'animal' haha! Now after few month and checking this game again and watching your videos - i am willing to jump back and take an other journey of this interesting and rich discovering mmorpg. Perhaps buy it and contribute something to the community.

I was playing this when it was free (or was it a demo?), which was probably 5 or so years ago, I cannot even remember... Almost everything looks the same as it did then, just a bunch of placeholder graphics and models. Outside of updated UI and other such things, very little graphically and model-wise seems to have changed. I really enjoyed the game but refused to pay for something that was filled with half-finished, slapped together attempt at modeling. Sure, not everything has to be perfect, the game world is great enough to be able to get lost in and enjoy. But it's kind of hard to escape the reality that every piece of loot you acquire and equip ends up having you look like a colorblind clown Don't hold your breath. You are better off trying to enjoy it while you still can while it maintains some semblance of a playerbase. I'm personally extremely disappointed after looking to see how the game has improved over all these years because the game has such a solid base to work upon even when I started playing it. I also think the game has been out for too long that even if they did do anything, they would have missed the boat entirely. Everyone who had a passing interest in this game yet were put-off by the graphics and models have already come and gone. Anyone who didn't care, stuck with it and enjoyed it. This game has quite literally missed its mark.

Had they been smart from the start they would have chose a stylished graphic style instead of the incredibly ugly semi realistic style thay looks like complete vomit filled with placeholders. PG is worse looking than the original EverQuest, which still holds up, and that is really saying something.

@@HarryXPS8300 lolz no You don't understand the difference between art direction and graphics do you, friend? Here is some examples: New World = Good graphics with god awful art direction (terrible, themes don't mesh and it'snot believable). Guild Wars 2 = very meh, graphics with great art direction. Red Dead Redemption 2 = Great graphics and great art direction. Project Gorgon = Interesting concept of a game. The art direction is horrendous (indefensible) with OK graphics ( PG has its "retro" charm). Should I list a retro MMORPG with great art direction, but outdated graphics? Might be more fair towards PG. OK here you go = EverQuest. EverQuest's graphics are very outdated by todays standards, but the art direction is still incredible.

This was a great video! As a long term player going on 5 years of me playing Gorgon on and off. I think the way this video was done was spot on and I look forward to more videos. I think a lot of times players have their own assumptions about games or people behind games which can sometimes cloud their judgement and give an in accurate representation. Therefore, I am grateful to have this video as this video paints an accurate picture of what is going on with Gorgon, so people can really understand the real people behind the game and the direction of the game and really come to form their own opinions on what really is going on.

The big problem with the game for me is not the graphics but the complete lack of art direction which is inexcusable really. Why is it inexcusable? Because you do not need great graphics to nail art direction. Look at mmo OG's like EverQuest or even meridian 59. They are graphically outdated games by today standards sure, but they have fantastic art direction and especially EverQuest (P99) still look great! I was too young when EverQuest was big so no, it's not rose tinted eyes. Look at Valheim or literally any other indie game made by 2-5 people. The issue with PG is that they chose a semi realistic artstyle without having the talent to make it work and implemented several placeholders instead of choosing something stylized or cartoony that would have worked way better.

I do think that many players are hesitant to play due to PG's graphical quality. Hopefully the development team can invest the necessary funds to make it as visually striking as the rest of the MMO can be. 💖

Project Gorgon is an amazing game made by a very talented developer. Infact, I think a game like this could only be made by someone who is crazy and passionate about his project. This crazyness unfortunately comes with it's downsides. Namely, the GM abuse is very real, and it's not the GM's alone, but the developer himself who has a hand in it. Permabans for leaving negative steam reviews, ingame permabans for any number of mundane things. I myself have been permabanned for what in any other MMO wouldn't even warrant punishment.

​@@MarleMMO Not exactly, I was told in the support ticket that all bans are final unfortunately. But, I did enjoy it while it lasted. It also has a great community, and the friends I made on there I still talk to. Edit: The game is good enough that I would be willing to purchase a new copy if there wasn't rules against it. I don't mean to discourage anyone and I do highly recommened the game to anyone who enjoys old school mmos.

@@MarleMMO weird. Well it was pretty long, hope I can remember it all lol. Have you read the reviews on steam? There are so many stories on there about people being perma banned for just criticizing the game. Some are even $500 backers. And the dude in the interview totally dodged the question the first time you brought it up, and then gave the most generic answer possible the second time you asked. It's no coincidence that the most upvoted question was about Jackencola abusing his power.

@@infradig696, I am aware of accusations however I have no inside nor personal knowledge of any of the situations. Some bans may have been unjustified, others fairly done. My anecdotal experience with Jack has been overwhelmingly positive, yet others have their own encounters. 💖
